Just wanted to let my fellow Supermoto/Dual sport riders know that Every Monday (year round) Stockton Motorplex opens its gates for a practice day 1pm-6pm $10 per bike.Usual trackday rules apply, tape lights/signals,No Knobbies,Not sure about coolant for the LC bikes but probably needs to be water.Anyone interested let me know. I might go this Monday 4/14,but not sure.Maybe we can get a group together and go up there later on ?!
Rich
Hey Rich I got your PM and it sounds cool but I dont have anything to ride. My DRZ and 50 have knobies.

Just throw some D/S tires on the DR and if they allow 50's @ the practices (they have 2 classes for racing) but for the actual races themselves the 50's are "open traction" so I believe the stock tires are OK.

Myself, Astrocreep, JeffKoch and NorCal Tom have been seen out there from time to time. :teeth
DRZ - The 50 with knobbies will be fine

I'm planning on going this Monday.
They rotate in 20 min sessions.
Open, Mini and Karts.
The Open session can get hairball with ex-GP and WSB pilots mixing it up with 12 year old wonder kids with no concept of fear.
There are no concessions at the track so bring water.
PTM if im off Monday ill go wit ya. Ill know Friday afternoon if im free Monday:thumbup

I had a blast last Monday,Improved my lap times .5 sec.
Hope to see some more Barfers out there.
Thanks for the offer Astrocreep, id settle of a discounted set of Rearset adapters for the F4i:laughing

Is it all street or a dirty combo? Is safety wire required?
I believe its all pavement:confused

Yeah, practice is all pavement. I've seen bikes with no saftey wire or any other track prep stuff done( taping lights) Some people ride up on there bikes take off the mirrors and go out and have fun.

Westie I spoke to Chris @ Stcokton and he said they dont enforce safety wire in the practice sessions.Lights must be taped though, from what I can remember any way.
Astro, are you gonna be there rain or shine ?
astrocreep

No if it rains I won't go. The last race was in the rain and there was alot of traction out there. I don't think there will be any more race days with rain for the rest of the season so it's not worth the risk to practice for something that's not going to happen.

Just checked AOL weather and they are forcasting a 30% chance of raing and scatered showers....I'll take that chance. If the weather is anything like today it should be a good day to practice.....Hope to see some Barfers out there

:teeth Truly a blast!
At the risk of bastardizing the thread, anyone know where to get a decent round-profile 80/21" street tire for an XR200 front rim? I wanna take my 200 out next time, but all I have at the moment are knobbies. I want to head out there next week if I can find tires.
(P.S. kneedrag, thanks again, ya got me hooked! ;) )

My pleasure! You should have come out yesterday. Rainey, Chandler and Checa were out playing. Yes that would be Carlos Checa and Wayne in his Kart.
