I'm looking to buy a scanner for under $100. Anybody know where I can get one. Frys is having a one day sale today on some, but I can't get there today.

If you want to order one off the web this place is the cheapest I've seen http://www.pricewatch.com/ . Otherwise Fry's should always have scanners for under $100.

Scanners are so dirt cheap now :eek
I bought a scanner for my work at Fry's just a couple of days ago... flatbed, small form factor letter sized Canon, and it was like $70. I think I even saw some for like $30...

Well it depends what sorts of frequency you're trying to pick up. A lot of those "cheap" scanners don't do trunked radio, they don't pick up aviation frequencies and the such... Just be sure you know what you want, and pick the right toy. ;)

It'll set you back around $70-$99, depending on where you find it. They have decent resolution and scannin speeds, and don't need an outside powersource; they draw power through the USB connection.
I'm ususally pretty demanding of my peripherals and sorta poo-pooed the idea of getting a non-SCSI scanner, but I've been nothing but happy with my 650NU. (But I don't really do a lot of high-volume scanning, either.)
