I feel like an idiot.

Cbr Vixen and I went out for a short ride today around town, so we get to this empty area with no cars so I decide to try to "skitch" off the left side of the bike. I lean on the tank, swing my right leg over and eventually put them both down. Sooooooooo........I'm skitching along and then I'm like, "how do I get back up", so since I cant get back on the bike I just pull in the clutch and let it coast to a stop, and I felt like the biggest dumbass. Vixen said it looked cool, but couldn't figure out why I was slowing down. :laughing :laughing

Anyone wanna gimme some pointers?? Do I just put my foot back on the peg or do the hopping thingy??

a crazy friend (not you. haha :twofinger) did that on the freeway going 80+ and did the exact same thing you did to slow down. it was his 2nd attempt and the 1st attempt, he pulled it off.

i'm imagining that all you do is hop back up. put more pressure on your feet and jump w/ your left foot 1st to get at least 1 foot back on the peg.

hehe, better bust out the MI2 chase scene. :D

I thought about hopping back up but it really felt like it would upset the balance of the bike and cause me to lose control. I posted this in the "Stunterz" forum in SBN and one dude replied and said to just put my left foot back on the peg and go from there. That makes sense and sounds ALOT more controlled than hopping......but we'll see. Thanks!!!

I can feel the force growing in Instance. When I skitch of the left side of my bike I just put my right foot on the left peg first, then I squeeze my left foot on and after that just throw my right leg back over the bike. It's a tight squeeze with two feet on the peg but it doesn't bother me. Of course just putting your left foot on the peg and swinging your right foot over will work too. I have some video of my skitchin I'll post it up as soon as I mpeg it.

its actually easier to put more weight on your upper body and use the leverage to lighten the lower part of your body. that way you can just lift your left leg up and put it on the peg. But the way you did it is a stunt too i think..hahaha. You're crazy instance..even im not crazy enough to try that yet.:D
