No, but seriously, I got the heated grips cuz I was riding at night in the rain a lot, and would ride from los gatos to alameda and pig and whistle meets a lot. After riding highway for an hour or so at night and gettin caught in a downpour, you come to like the :instance things out there. :laughing See ya later!

okay okay... Im not that much of a squid, come on give me some credit here! Someone told me to get an ipod to listen to while riding. I don't agree as I like to know if someone is thinking about smashing into me or not. Yeah, I like to be comfy, but I'd prefer to stay alive as well. :laughing

Think about it, ride with freezing cold hands while all your attention is focused on how freakin cold your hands are, or ride with wam hands, and be able to concentrate on the road ahead. My reasoning for heated grips. :teeth Although, now that the sun is out, I doubt I will be having those things turned on. :laughing

charge up them iPods and don't forget gas!!

It looks like there is gonna be quite a few peeps on this ride! I presume there will be a little moisture n mud on the road given all the rain we've had...so...Ride safe, ride smart.

Newbs,Squids and rookies and chill riders....no worries about the pace, always ride at your own comfort/skill level and pace. Nobody get's left behind on Mortifers Tuesday rides. ;-) There will be riders of all sorts and skill in this group and we usually break up into groups based on desired pace. We don't race, we don't stunt <normally>, we don't drag knee <much>....we just ride really, really smooth!! ;-) smooth is fast??. sometimes! ;-)

Recommended reading. for all riders and group riding in particular... The Pace Pt 1 and 2. In the GroupRide Forum or See Chronoxdragons posts for the links. The info is very good and the premise for much of the group riding methodology I've personally witnessed riding w/ these class peeps and dregs!! haha..sounds like school eh?? Yep, when you ride w/ us..you are going to school! We got MSF instructors, Racers, Lifestylers and Speed junkies in our group! More importantly, they are a lot of fun and this group of peeps is top notch...except for mortifer..he's a freakin menace!!! :twofinger

See Ya'll this afternoon!

Very good info there, thanks for the kind words.:blush

Depending on who shows and how fast/chill people wanna ride, we'll do a few groups.

My speedo went out last week, so I guess I'll lead the first group, but it'll still be a chill pace.
:shhh:laughing

Any volunteers for the second group and sweeps for both?

How far shall we go- to the lake or up to the top of 152?

remember, the ride leaves at 6:05 sharp, dont be late!

haha. Mortifer...anytime buddy! :-)

I'm down for leading group 2 if no one else volunteers!

from the looks of the weather and warming trend..the top of 152 might be a nice ride!! I'll head up there in a few hours and check it out! ;-) I will advise!

yeah, they showed up, said they saw some people pull into the parking lot kinda reckless, and got mad. So they wrote down everyone's liscense plate numbers and warned us all that if they saw any "funny business" we would go straight to jail. As far as I know I dont think anyone got any tickets. I think they just want to make sure they keep us in check is all. Can't blame em, its their job.

Well knowing the area, and knowing the officer I was told showed up. He seems to PROFILE alot. I know they say it's not profiling, however I know otherwise about him.. Creating a "FI" card on every single plate on an "interesting vehicle" he runs across on a daily basis, is a bit too far.

So it's all good. I was told there was tickets handed out too.... lol.

30 frickin' idiot riders trying to show off, pissing off the locals stunting on Santa Theresa. Their riding got SJPD to show up. They got their panties in a bunch when the cops reacted to their idiotic stunting. Studs when the PD is not there, little girls as soon as they show up.

I didn't see one ticket handed out. They didn't yell or harass a single person. They found a stolen bike though.
I thought it was great. Bad enough to wheelie when they are hanging with the fellas, but total PUSSIES when the Police arrive. Those riders ran away like children getting in trouble in kindergarden.

I spoke to the Sgt. He was friendly and clear. He stated they have no problems with the riders that ride responsibly. They have a zero tolerance for racing, stunting, or blocking cars to enable stunting.

I hope they found the fucking asshole that was riding the stolen bike.

Writing down those plates helped them identify that stolen bike. If you don't do anything blatantly stupid, then you have nothing to worry about, and nothing to bitch about.

you're asian, you're in your 20's, you ride a Race Ready bike, that's enough reason for a cop to bust you. :laughing

That's why im getting me a naked bike. Maybe when i'm 40 i'll get a liter supersport.

yeah... everytime I look at it, I just dont understand how it works... drive belt stead of a chain, and other not so common stuff's about it that I really dont get. But its a sweet bike... my favorite part is the skulls hidden in the blue flames.
Well, I'm off to jump back on my bike and head to work!

Who were those 2 barfers that were doing wheelies as soon as we pulled out of the starbucks parking lot on our way to Chevy's?

Not too cool if you were seen by cops as they could easily associate us with those stunters earlier in the evening.

It was a silver/red F4i and a blue SV650 naked.

time and place for all things. a meet spot (such as this one) is not the place for wheelies and other hooliganisms

I think if they were going to associate us with the squids they would have done it while we were all mixed up in the parking lot at bucks. I wouldn't worry about those two I’ll discipline those guys good ;).

Besides it's not hard to tell the difference between the types of bikes we ride vs. a squid not to mention the type of gear they wear i.e. t-shirt.

Oh great, now you are trying to make it sound like you were actually thinking about it. Give me a break. You did something less than smart and got called out. Don't try to play it off with a "I meant to do that." SJPD was the last thing on your mind at the time.

"down the street" yeah, 'cuz ya know the Po Po was only pissed off at what went down in the parking lot. :rolleyes

Do you understand how lucky we were Tuesday evening. The Cops could have hassled all of us. Their experience, or their informants told them who were the idiots and who were not. Some of us took the time to talk to them in an effort to keep our weekly meeting 'safe'. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the boys in blue are sneaking around all stealthy waiting to bust an idiot or twenty. Like it or not, in the eyes of SJPD you are representing all of the barfers that like to hang out at 'bucks. On a 'regular' night your wheelie probably wouldn't have been a big deal. But considering all of the Police presence last Tuesday, your actions showed poor judgement.

I hope it’s not in regards to what I was saying me thinking about what I did since I really don’t know how to get a wheel up or could care less about stunting or even seeing it. I come to star bucks because I enjoy riding and I am all about becoming more confident. Other then that I see what you are saying I’m not trying to side track anyone what I was suggesting was a joke I just thought it funny to reply I’m sure the guys we are talking about do understand what your saying and enjoy as we all do that pd doesn't bother us when we gather since we aren't a bunch of criminals or hooligans it's the reason I chose to come to this group of people and believe me after riding with many others who I wasn't pleased when the drug use or the attitudes I am greatly appreciative that I can ride every Tuesday with everyone of you, even go to the track and learn more about my bike that I never thought I would.

Anyway the only reason I type this is because I'm concerned one or more person might have took the act or the comments personally since it was in such a light manner. Not going to argue about it since it leads nowhere it happened I’m sure it wont be a problem in the future if it is lets argue then ;)

!!Oh and i forgot to say it was nice meeting all the new faces Hope to seeing you guys at future meets and ignore the steam that was just being vented... :teeth

Are we talking about the shit on Santa Teresa, or the dumb move right in front of the po-po in the parking lot? Let me say this, I didn't know the po-po were pulling in, I had no idea the front wheel would come up like that, since i've never ridden a "motard" before, and it was all Chi's fault. And don't forget, the reason they call them a "mo tard" is the mo you ride um, th mo tarded you get!

I saw that, but that wasn't what I was talking about..

I'm talking about those 2 dudes that started busting wheelies after wheelies as soon as we left the parking lot on our way to chevy's..

It wasn't even one wheelie. They kept doing , over and over again reving their motors.. I was trying to distance myself away from them so I didn't take the same path as them to chevy's.

Ahhh so that’s why you guys turned left so early I thought you were just getting lost. :teeth You know don't just get mad at them you can ask them at the next meet to quit that shit I’m sure they will be reasonable you know who they are since they pointed out themselves there's no need to talk about them in third person eh commo and supperbagger. They are good guys squidly but good.

Seems like people would rather blame without aiming so they don’t see their target instead of confronting the problem and asking for a resolution. You know you'll see them again after all it's every Tuesday right 605 for the run and 7 for the meet no reason you can't ride with them not against them.

your post made my head hurt, therefore -- i'll try to use simple words and get right to the point.

No, I am not mad - i'm merely pointing out what I saw. I have never met those guys before, so I don't know their screen names / real names / mom's name , etc...

I just think they picked a terrible night to start busting out wheelies right in front of starbucks. Although I don't attend regularly, I've been to 'bucks for a few years now, and i'm sure the old timer regulars would have cringed at their behavior.

I do however understand your position -- You wanna git their back, cuz dey yo homies and all.. but please understand and look at the bigger picture.

That is all...
