Ok, as suggested by Bapistro we will be meeting at Family Billiards in San Francisco next wednesday the 29th at about 6:30- 7:00 pm. There is free upper level parking so you dont have to park your bikes on the street, unless ya want to ofcourse....:D
I spoke to Bapistro and this location sounds good.... its indoors, good food, pool, we can bring bike videos, plenty of parking, its pretty central in the city and they are slow on wednesdays so we can take over the joint!!!
If anyone wants to set up a late night cruise around the city after the meet, just speak up and lets do it!!!!

BTW, if you guys are serious about having a tourney, I'll set it up one of these weeks.
Oh, and I think we've got the 2000 and 2001 WSB tapes at Family right now. Rossi is the shit. :D

Family Billiards sounds great! Watch out! I CAN play (if I concentrate hard enough)!
If we're gonna drink beer, I rather drive there.
I am not a city rider. Are car drivers around Geary street crazy?
Baptistro

Traffic in the Richmond is fairly easily manageable, you only really have to watch out on Fulton, lots of people will try to make lefts in front of you. Oh, BTW, keep in mind that the posted speed limit on most of Geary is 25MPH, it's not strictly enforced, but you can't rule out cops messing with you.

ah chee just like the old days :twofinger :teeth
amazing Family is still around. what is it like 30+ years now? Tower Records used to be a dinky little store on Geary. 8-tracks were in and all the SF Summers had love.
and yes, there really was a Doggie Diner at Arguello x Geary (now wells fargo parking lot).
here's Sloat by the Zoo. I think the wind blew the head down nose first one April Fools:

what a great idea but weren't we gonna all meet at
the moderators house? you know, all park on the street and front lawn
and revv our motors and send flames till the
wee hours of the am?
I guess that idea was quickly shot down.
I will be in NYC for a while but I am looking forward to the
Wed. SF BARF Chapter Meetings upon my return.

Stillart,
I think we're still waiting for someone to take the reigns on that score. I'm out because I don't know the city at all -- I can't seem to venture in without getting lost, which is fine if you're alone, but not good if your with a group.
I don't mind riding sweeper if someone can give me a map of the route before hand.
ambitiousone

i'm in for riding and definitely out of drinking. i usually don't cruize the city, but can play sweeper role if someone provides the route.

Like the last few have said, SOMEONE post a route!!!!!!!
well its hard to post a route until we kinda know when we're heading out and for how long we want to be out :)
i mean if we're in the richmond we can blow down geary to the beach, cruise south down the beach passing south where we met last week and then we could bang a left somewhere furthur down before pch 1 really takes over, and hit 19th ave back to oak and down oak til we hit downtown and then we could head down 10th st to potrero and out on potrero and over into the mission and go out until like 28th or 30th and then roll back towards downtown on valencia at which point we'd be right by zeitgeist and we could stop(this would probably take an hour) and have a drink and or people would be right near 101 to go home.
or we could do somehting totally different and cruise eastbay/berkley/telegraph ave and downtoan oakland *shrug*

05-28-2002, 02:27 PM
Yes Stillart's plan is a good one. Im in, dunno about the ride though depending on what time we leave. Some of us have to work. And someone mentioned a get together at a mods house? No it's a get together at the ADMIN's house. There will be a "write your name in steves lawn using your tire" contest. :twofinger

05-29-2002, 01:01 PM
Aries, make sure you save me my spot, I gotta get there early, pick up my cues and take them home, so I won't be there until closer to 7. :D
me too me too! i'll be there 6ish so my f4i can get soem love this time instead of being left down the block.
and parking on the sidewalk is legit or no? :p
oh and i shaved my head so look for the dorky whiteboy with a military cut ;p
Baptistro
05-29-2002, 01:28 PM
Sidewalk is wide there, and we'vwe only gotten hassled once for parking on the sidewalk, but just space them out and make room for aas many as possible. There are actually five MC spots out in front, but if we get as big a turnout as last time, we will need to use the lot upstairs. We have security cams, so all should be well.

I had an awesome time with you folks! The night time riding was fun! Thank you for looking out for me. I hope I wasn't riding too slow. Looking forward to riding with you folks again soon!
Sorry if I can't remember most of the names of the people who were there. I am really bad with names especially now that I have to remember 2 names per person! Please excuse me! I will have to ask your name(s) maybe 10 more times before I can remember!
Thanks again for the great evening!

don't worry about that. so long as you had fun also and everyone else had fun, that's what matters most in these rides. this was a leisure cruise in the city as intended. just a nice stroll along the park.

Thanks to everyone who made it to the social. Barf riders are the coolest riders. The meet/social was great, had fun riding through the city. Look forward to many more socials. Now if I could just get my work schedule to be more open, I could make it to more.
Oh well, I guess you appreciate something more if you don't get to do it everyday. :D .

Great meet . . . or at least, great ride after the meet. :D I'm bummed that I didn't get out of my post-work coma quick enough to make the social part of the evening. Next time!
Sinh, you did an admirable job running the ride and keeping everyone together! I didn't get your bro's name, but he can thrash the hell out of that Helix pretty well!
Hwy 9 . . . youuuuuuu bastard! :twofinger :D I'm glad you were able to bathe yourself thoroughly after your Golden Shower experience :D and were able to make it out to share your new toy with everyone. Very nice!
Bap, although I didn't have enough time to come in and hang out, I defenitely think holding the meet there is a great idea. I hope we continue to do so.
Mrntz, I hear you on the name thing . . . it's going to take me FOR EVER to remeber all the names, faces, and screen names around here.
Everyone else, great to see familiar faces again and meet the not-so-familiar ones. Let's do it again next week!

Can we make the Family Billiards map and directions a sticky? Every week somebody asks where it is.
Thanks!
I agree, put it back as a sticky for the people who don't know about the meet and others who want to get location and directions.
