too bad it was only on the front pegs :rolleyes :chuci how the HELL do i go from the pegs to the tank w/o dumping the bike?

My word of advice is the faster you go the more stable the bike is. But then there is more wind when you are up there. Like Port told me when I was learning them was the hardest thing to do was to straighten the knees. You wont be balanced or feel confident until you do. I usually do mine around 40 to 50 mph, faster than that and the wind starts blowing you around. Good Luck!!!

so what though? you just kinda have to leap up(are you doing this leap no handed) or do you get up there and then let go?

On the F4i, it is really hard to stand on the tank, the top of the tank slants down oon the sides. I do my christs on the seat. I basically stand up on the pegs while still holding the bars, climb onto the seat while still holding the bars, once on the seat I move my hands to the tank and from there I start to stand up. And like said before, if you do not straighten your legs you will feel wobbley so if you plan on doing this trick you will have to comit to it. You should come ride with us someday and we can show all the easy, but cool, tricks

P.S., what is up with the tank STILLART.

It's all about balance just take your time and if you feel like you're off balance jump right back into you seat. I think once you see some one do it in person it makes it a lot easier.

Even peg-christs are easier when you stand all the way up. It's all about commitment.

i can do the stand-ups on pegs no problems, gotta start trying the seat or tank.

heh... not that I know too much about this... but I have gotten onto the seat and halfway out... then realized my testes aint big enuff yet and couldn't straighten my knees...

on my Sargent seat (which is very flat compared to many stock seats) I can comfortably climb one leg at a time or do a lil hop... all with the hands on the bars... plus... I have no throttle lock... i use the choke to keep the bike goin at 30 :)

But... I'm still lame...

who's that black guy that does the "elevator"? He jumps straight onto the tank and into a christ from the front pegs

I forget his name but that's the guy from "All Twisted and Pucked up" Chauncey from DTE jumps all over his bike.

Well, Myself and TedSki have been working on this little trick. I finally have the kahunas to do it decent now. I don't have a throttle lock either but choke works ok for now. (next buy is a throttle lock. Got a few good pics too.

Next time it's the tank stand though.

No need for a throttle lock all we do if we want to ride a long christ is turn up our idles. Third gear with the idle around 4-5k is smooth sailing. Ohh yeah it works good for skitching off the back too.
