thanx everyone. i truly feel welcome now. i do have a couple of questions though. who all is male/female? why would anyone buy a 2001 r6 and beat the crap out of it? and do you guys go to the races?(ie sears point, laguna seca)
WELCUM! We do trackday events and just had a great one at ThunderHill. I will find out about Button Willow tomorrow for the next event in March.
As for the R6, this is coming from an AMA Thunder rider with a duc and my thoughts also. Buy a stock 748 and put about $4K in engine work and about $2K in suspension or put an SPS or RS motor for about $8-10K and have a killer bike for the track. OR buy an R6 put $300 into a PCIII and a jetkit plus $800 for Graves exhaust, bring it to AfterShocks and revalve/set up suspension and both will run the same or at least will hold up better.
I am thinking about what to do with my duc now. I just sold my GSXR750 with a Vance Power Pak and Yosh RS3 pipes. It ran so nice and I think I could almost do the same times as my prepped duc.

:welcome Gixxerman and the answer to your question about beating up a 2001 R6 is very simple. Let's say your hauling ass down highway 84 and you go off the road and flip the bike a couple of times. The insurance company gives you a nice check for a totalled bike and you buy it back with a salvaged title. If your bike's already totalled and crunchy why not have some fun? :twofinger
