HEY everyone, If you are interested, there is going to be a sponsored track day on AUG 9. It is the CCS “Privateer” Sport Rider Days. It sounds really great and is only $125 for the whole day. This includes instruction and actual track time. I have posted the website link here so you can have the most accurate info.

also oct. 4th. anyone going to this? i might go if other BARFers are up for it. looks like a novice day taught by CCS racers. it does sound like if you do this novice day you can be a CCS certified competitor in their races.
any insight on this? IIRC, mr. crash is a CCS member.

Hey Calvin, I am all over this, plus, I have an Xterra with a trailer hitch. All we would have to do is rent a trailer and I could carry up to 3 or 4 bikes.
The price is too good to pass up, but I would get registered early.

Oct. 4 sounds good.
"no streamlining may be attached to the rider" - does that include speedhumps on leathers?
at least there won't be any of those strange helmet fins with flashing lights or triple horned lids etc.
the materials also state everyone goes through class instruction first before allowed on track. K-E-W-L they run a tight ship!

I have to research how big a trailer I can haul. I have to call around and check. I am just taking a guess right now but I would say that I can take up to 4 bikes including mine. Like I said, I might be able to take more......Any one know of a place to rent trailers besides U-HAUL?
i am in for oct 4th for sure. just need to get boots and pants by then. woo hoo :nerd

United Rentals is one place. I rented a 5x8 from them and hauled 2 bikes and all our gear.
There are other places but I didn't really price them since United Rentals was just down the street from me.
Look in the Yellow Pages under trailers. Call around and ask for a Utility trailer. Make sure it has big wheels. The trailers that have the small 8" - 12" tires don't do to well at prolonged freeway speeds.
Good luck and I hope to see you there!

anyway, looks like i'm in for both days. if we can't find a trailer or something for both days, i'll just (painfully) load it up to the truck.
hopefully, i'll be somewhat prepared
Hey guys,
Still relatively new to the forum and have yet to meet any of you, but I just signed up for the Aug.9 event. So, I hope to see some of you there!!

sent my reg forms in before the wed. night meet. :D signed up for both the aug 9th/ oct 4th days.
probably be truckin it myself to save $. it's a bit far off to plan things out now but i'll most likely be truckin it in a forest green tacoma 4X4. probably the night before and sleeping either in front of a hotel (not IN) w/ a sleeping bag (this time) or in front of the gates again. or waking up @ 4 am and going the same day which will hopefully be early enough to beat most of the commute traffic.
so who's going when?

We were thinking of going up the night before so we don't have to get up so eary the day of...anyone else going up night before? Anyone want to caravan??

i signed up for both but will probably be going up the day of the trackday as i have work the night before till 10pm.
heh, need $ for tires right? :teeth if i can get a deal on the H2's, i'll probably be getting those again. or maybe try some rennsport soft compound. supersoft might have killer grip but will probably wear out too fast for me since i also do street riding on the TLR.

I don't really want to ride in the street level, I would like to ride in the sport rider level. Does anybody know if you can be moved up if your level meets the sport rider level. They want proof of a previous track school or a racing lic. I don't know if they would count a YSR racing Lic. If I can start in the sport rider level I am in for both days.

i think you can sign up for the B level (intermediate) group w/o having a race license. the A group will require a race license or a certificate from a recognized trackschool.

Yes you can upgrade to the sport but not sure on the expert class. Besides last year there were too a lot of riders in the expert group that downgraded to the sport class for some reason. :shhh
Im going if I get a bike or get my back together.

Hey,
Downloaded the form and sent it in so count the "squid" in for August the 9th.
BTW. I have a trailer that we can use that will fit three bikes, however, I have nothing to pull it with so if you got truck, I got trailer and we can strike a deal:teeth

WOO HOO! sent in my paperwork and money today!
I am in for aug 9th.
hey wicked, Bap, killswitch, and a couple others are going to be going up the night before and stay at a hotel. I would like caravan with you guys.
I will have more info in the near future as the date gets closer. I have a Xterra but Baptistro and I were talking about renting a silverado and trailer so we can carry more bikes.

ok, I am gonna try this thread since no one replied to my other one. I am planning on going up to t-hill the night before.
1. I need to know if there is anyone who still needs a ride up there for their bike?
2. Where is everyone staying? or where is a good place to stay?
3. Are we gonna do a caravan up there? If so, what time are we leaving???
4. If no one needs a ride, does anyone have any extra space on their trailer to take my bike so I don't have to rent one. I have all the tie downs and stuff. Plus if you take me, you get premium space under the canopy!

The trailer is my friends but he aint a tight wad and you could use it through me. I just bought a little pick-up friday cause I hate relying on everyone to haul my dirt bike and street bike around. I have a umbrella girl going up with me but I may have room for another bike if need be. I have a hitch on the truck but no lighting so if someone wants to wire my shit up, I will pull the trailer and can take a few more bikes:cool

Hey it kinda sucks there are so many threads for one track day. What's up with that?
I just joined the forum so I don't know anybody, but I'm really looking forward to meeting up with some BARFers. I already have a full trailer, and me and my buddy are going up the night before and camping out.
<---------------- I'll be wearin' the same outfit on Friday.
I went to the last CCS event a few months ago and it was great. Here's what I learned:
Three groups (A - pass anywhere, B pass on the outside only, C pass on the straights only). C riders can move up to B with chaparone approval. B riders cannot move up to A unless you have a race-prepped bike (water, wire, and pan). There are professional racers in the A group getting ready for the race weekend and they are fast. Some A-group riders were forced into the B group because of high lap times. The C group was super mellow.
Instruction can be had for the asking. Just ask a chaparone a question or two, and you will find that he'll keep an eye on you all day - to be ready with good advice for further questions. Friendly, friendly, friendly.
