I is

Open Twins is one of the fastest classes out there.

The bridge over turn ten at sears is now at Thunderhill going across the back straight. It is up but not ready for use.

Also, the turn workers stations are painted and numbered plus looks like there are flashing yellow lights on them plus a trtaffic light at the start finish.

They have been busy.....

Not racing, I'm just doing Friday practice. I'm there primarily to do the writeup for CityBike, might be sending my writeups off to Cycle News and Roadracing World to give our guys additional press as well. We've got some talent around here, they just don't have the exposure that other orgs do. I'd like to help them get that exposure.

As far as racing goes, not until I'm back to my original pace. It's too frustrating for me otherwise. I'm still recovering from the huge hits my confidence and ability took over the past year.

AMA Pro Thunder might very well be toast after this year, they've already forced it off of the schedule at all of the double superbike rounds.

The lap times have gotten faster this year, but the class still doesn't seem to have the depth of the 600/750/Open inline four classes. The presence of Richie Thorwaldson Jr. on the 155+ hp (rumored) RC-51 of Bob Hayashida seems to have raised the standard.

I'll keep an eye out for you, what bike will you be riding / number will you be donning?

I'm real easy to spot...the only 900ss out there, 954

It is interesting that in another thread you suggested to learn to go fast to get a under power bike and work on chassis, suspension and cornering speed.

Good example of that is a production 250 ninja....I have had the pleasure of seeing what Robert Kenndy can do on one.

That is my approach...motor will not make up for bad lines, slow corner speeds, going slow in, out of turns.....or the art of late braking.

I can build the motor up to close to a 100hp, but I wouldn't know what to do with it. Instead, I spend money on suspension, wheels,-just got a set of Marvic, hehehehe-brakes, got WSB level brakes-Ferodo 6 point cast iron rotors, steel lines and AP brake master cyclinder- and track time. The motor has indivdaul 41mm flatslides on short intakes and pipes, that's it.

Now I am learning suspension setup...another art....

Can anyone go to Friday practice, and ride on the track, before an AFM weekend? I thought on the AFM racers could go.

Honestly, I'm not sure. But I wouldn't run unless you were comfortable running with some *really* fast guys who are uncorking hot laps in preparation for the weekend.
