kinda long but plz read i need help

ok.. so today i just found out the danger of riding with a near-bald rear tire.. i was at a stop light, then when the light turned green i made a hard right, body leaning pretty far, and my rear tire bumped over a freaken lane divider bump(u kno those annoying things) just as i was rolling on throttle, and i guess my back hopped on the ground and i go sliding..

good thing it wasnt high speed, only about 20 mph, and i was fine.. but my bike slid and now there's like a small crack in the lower fairing and i touched it, to find OIL!! :(
anyway.. the bike runs fine, and i parked it at starbux for like 10 minutes, and after that it still started fine and ran fine.. so i went home and it's sitting in the garage now...

there's a small puddle of oil under my bike..

can someone plz tell me if this is going to be something expensive to fix, or if i'm screwed or something/ thanks...

sounds like 1 of the motorcase covers is cracked. you should be able to fix it for less than 100.00

Pull the ferring off. Clean the engine off se where the oin is coming from. If the engine cover or case is cracked, They can both be fixed. I do that sort of work. JB weld doesn't expain or contract when heated. Do not use it. Call me first.

Clean the area really well , and check for the leak. The usual spot to break on those bikes after a low speed fall is the pulser cover. If the engine case is cracked don't use any epoxies on it , it won't work and the welder you use will just charge you extra to clean-up your mess when he fixes it right.

i just went to my local honda dealer, and he looked at it for free for me, and after cleaning, he said that the oil place was leaking and although there was no crack or anything, he told me to just get a new case and gasket.. the parts will cost me $120 when they arrive in a week..

is this going to be cheaper then welding, and if these parts are weld, then is it going to be fixable in the future? thanx

The oil place? I'm guessing from the price you quoted that it's the pulser cover you ordered. If it is not cracked then why would you replace it, is the cover rashed?

thats exactly wat i said, so i had them wait on ordering, until i can figure out what the REAL problem is.. so yea MR RPM looked at it for me, and told me wat i should do is take off the cover, silicone it up, and put it back on and it should stop the leak..
but i just realized that there's like drops coming from other places, like the middle part of the exhaust piping where 2 pipes join at the bottom.. so yea i tried tightening the nut there, but it still leaks.. not alot, prolly around a drop every hour or so, but yea it's a leak.. :( any suggestions? should i keep going around fixing it myself or should i jsut go to a good shop and have them do it for me ... i'm strapped for cash
