You had mentioned that for those attending the July 10th track day that their would be a pre-track meet somewhere to go over things. When and where?? Sorry if you posted it already.....:D

Ed and I discussed this today -- the meeting will be held at:

Scores Legendary Sports Restaurant.

2200 Bridgepointe Pkwy,San Mateo,CA 94404
(650) 357-1998

on June 26th at 7:00 PM.

I'll be calling them to make reservations so please make it known if you plan to attend so I can get a headcount. Attendance is requested for all attendees of the July 10th Speedyard trackday at Thunderhill.

The plan is to discuss the trackday; what to expect and how to get the most from the experience. We will cover safety, bike prep, and conduct. After Ed takes the floor for 15 - 30 minutes we will basically run this as an open forum - all questions, concerns, and comments are welcome and encouraged.

I look forward to seeing as many of you attending July 10th as possible at this meeting. Thanks, in advance, to Ed for hosting the Speedyard events, and for taking the time to meet with us ahead of time. This will, no doubt, enhance the experience for all.

I'll be flying in from Moscow on the evening of the 26th so I'm afraid I probably wont be able to attend. Well, technically I could...but my lady would kill me since I've been away for a month now :) I'll have some lovin's to attend to :twofinger

This is a great idea though for those that don't have any track experience and want to get a feel for what to expect before they get out to t-hill...nice touch, Ed, I wish I could be there.

Ofcourse by now everyone will know that Doc will be our special guest at the July 10th Novice day event!

we'll be happy to join everyone then! Not doing the July Desmo, going to be in Washington State seeing my Grandfather (dad's side).
Help me convince the wife I should go to the 7/10 day... after all, I can't not continue to build on my improvements from last weekend eh? ;)

btw... was your av pic taken at BW? You look too relaxed... must be when you were taking a nap... :laughing:chuci

U-haul has small trailers for $19.95 per day.

I'm also looking for someone to share a trailer/pickup with, so maybe we can work something out at the meeting this week.

Hey Cali, just because you have to flirt with the guy at the U-Haul counter for an hour to get that $4.95 discount doesnt mean we can all do that!:p I guess you wore the cute little halter top and thong undies for the guy huh!:shhh

so who's got directions? i know mapquest has directions but if someone's been there before and knows some landmarks that will make getting to the resturant easier, please post.

i think the mods will verify that i am no good w/ directions...

I'm not going to the track day, but I might crash the pre-meet since 'Scores' is just a couple of minutes away from where I live. :D

From 101 South (coming from SF):

Exit Fashion Island Blvd and turn left at the light (puts you on Fashion Isld Blvd).
(the fashion island blvd exit is almost immediatley before the East bound Hwy 92 exit).

Keep going straight on Fashion Island Blvd, go thru three stop lights (preferebly when green).

You'll see Bridgepoint shopping center on your right.

If you keep going past the shopping center you'll see the Scores restauraunt immediately to your right and a driveway entrance (I think it's after the second stop sign).

Anyway, the shopping center is huge and it's hard to miss.

BTW, Scores restaurant is right next to the Ice Chalet, so bring your ice skates if you want to go skating later! :D

I just read the directions mapquest spat out (putting in 'San Francisco' only as the starting point), and the directions are ass backwards.

If you got the same directions that said to exist at 3rd ave in San mateo, you'll definately get lost.

Just keep going on 101 until you see the 'Fashion Island' exit, turn left at the exit, and just keep going straight. Piece of cake!

Note that these directions do *NOT* apply to those coming from the south bay. You guys will need to exit Hwy 92 East and then exit on Edgewater blvd (turn right at the light).

Speaking of South Bay, Rakitty and I will wait for people at the Chevron at Bascom/Camden until 6:15p if anyone wants to caravan up there. We're going to go 85-280-92 for the scenic route and less traffic.
If anyone wants to meet up with us, PLEASE PM me so we know to wait... ;)
