Hey All,

The Aprilia Demo Day has been consolidated to 7/23, so Pacific Track Time is blowing this day out for diehards at only $130. Due to the low price there will be no promo/discount codes accepted.

You bring your own coolers, canopies, lunch, etc.

Pacific Track Time will provide course control, ambulance, corner workers, and instructors. Oh...and Michelin Tire Service will still be onsite all day.

Details at http://www.pacifictracktime.com/events.shtml

At the rate these spots are going, I don't know if there will be any space for walk-ins. There have been 30-odd signups since yesterday morning.

Your best bet is to register & pay on our website and secure a spot. While I HATE turning people away at the door, I'd rather do that than overcrowd the groups....ya know?

No. Plenty of novices too. That's why we're big on the 3 group format. We get riders of similar skill/speed together and it keeps the really fast guys in their own crazy world. We also frown on squidly behavior, and while we're not the track nazis, we're quick to pull people off the course who are riding like jackasses since we want everyone to go home with their bikes (and bodies) undamaged.

Even though this is a bare bones day, we're bringing out our instructional staff. This includes a mix of fast street guys, AFM race school instructors, and racers from AFM, AMA, WSMC, and FUSA.

Our focus is to help EVERY level of rider, and we really work on hand-holding beginners who may feel that they're struggling. While we're NOT a formal school (even at our full boat days where we have skills workshops), we DO try to work with any rider who requests some help or critique.

Our goal is to make NEW track riders find their groove, and help create a larger and larger track riding public. We can't do that by ignoring beginners.

So in the first AM session, our instructors will lead you around the track showing you the lines for 2 laps while you also get a little heat into your tires before we cut you loose.

And ANY TIME during the day you feel you need some lead-and-follow, make sure you take advantage of our staff....we're here to help you!

Oh....and if you need help with your suspension setup or tire pressure...we'll also help you with that...

We hope to see you out there!

Hey All,

Only 3 Intermediate slots left. Still have some decent room in the Beginner and Advanced groups, but if you were thinking about coming out as an intermediate, you need to get registered ASAP.

We look forward to riding with you! Make sure when we meet you you let me know you're from BARF so I can put some names with faces.:)

Calvin,

We look forward to riding with you!

A couple things to remember (for all you guys coming out);

- Remember...work on being smooth, and the speed will take care of itself.
- Ride for yourself, don't compare yourself to anyone else on the track. You can always find someone faster.
- Stay WELL hydrated. Dehydrated riders think fuzzy and have slowed reflexes.
- When you want to push that last 10%, remember that you really don't want to invest your next 2 paychecks into bike repairs.
- After 2PM, when you start feeling tired, SLOW DOWN by 10% and work on smoothness again by picking 3-4 turns you've been struggling with to focus on...just cruise through the rest. You will be safer and go home happier.
- Get a GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP the night before. We're not starting registration & tech until 7:45 and the rider's meeting isn't until 8:30AM...good REM sleep will start your day off right.

Again, we look forward to seeing you on Thursday. We will be sending out registration information in Acrobat PDF format on Monday night/Tuesday AM.

yep, that will be my goal at the track, be smooth, safe and ignore other riders on the track.
