Hi gang. It was fun meeting ever body today. I'm glad to see that we only had one accident and the bike and rider were fine, thanks to frame sliders and leathers.
I's great that we have a bunch of hungry riders willing to learn new stuff, and i just have an all around good feeling from people today.
Thanks again................ Peter A group point Man:teeth

Today was my first group ride with the barfers and I must say you guys are great. I was in the "B" group cuz I suck but never did I feel pressured to go faster than I felt safe. I want to especially thank Rey and Sonny for taking the time to hook a noobie up :thumbup I look forward to joining more of the group rides.

Scott anytime dude! Now everyone watch out for the local yokel, fat caucasian guy wearing fingerless driving gloves in a SILVER HONDA S2000. He lives on Highway 9 south of 4 Corners. His ass was tailgaiting dude in the R6 which caused him to crash. Feel free to give him a swift kick in the quarter panel next time you ride by. :mad

we couldnt believe the only thing that really touched was the frame slider, and the case cover a bit too, but the fairings, mirror and tail were all fine.

Guys & Gals I had a great time today! All the riders were good fun to ride with and hang with. What more could somebody want from a group ride other than perfect weather, and we got that!
Looking forward to seeing you all on more rides.

I'm not saying he wasn't tailgating - i wasn't back there to see what happened - but the dude in the S2000 was actually courteous to myself and the others at the front of the pack. We followed his quick lead for a bit and then he pulled over to let us pass. Then later he comes into the 4 corners parking lot to let us know that we had a fallen rider.
It's true, I don't know what his true intentions were, maybe he tailgated intentionally and then came into the parking lot to gloat... but i'm gonna give him the benifit of the doubt and recommend against assuming he was doing anything malicious.

Hey That guy in the s2000 was just out to have fun like the rest of us. The people that live in the the San Lorenzo Valley that drive Hwy 9 all the time are great drivers. The people who drive Hwy 17 that live in Santa Cruz are striat insane. I have lived on these roads for the last 20 years, and deffenetly no more likeable cager than the ones that drive Hwy9.........

Am not really blaming the S2000, I was the last one he let get by and when I checked my mirror he was behind me and I guess I was trying to put some distance between us. So I really just blame myself for riding harder then I can right now.
But everybody's going to go down sometime, and Im glad it happened to me, with such good people around me.

Hey everyone!
Glad to finally meet up with some familiar screen names, (Mort, Genna, etc.)!
Rey,
Cool that you could make it down from Vallejo and bring some friends from Fairfield as well!
Peter,
Cool to be right on your tail (for most of the time) in the A group. You'll have to tell me the secret to those stand up wheelies at 130mph
Jeremy,
Gotta remember to keep that elbow pointing down toward the ground!!! j/k do whatever feels comfortable for you.
Chris,
Like always good to see you... course last time I saw you, your bike had clothes on!
Hope to join the ride again sometime soon. It was great to see so many folks out during the weekday.
Peace-out
