I have heard a few variations on the origination of the term, but most say it stands for something like Stupid QUick and Impending Death. Here are a few signs of squid-dom. First though, let me say, I am not knocking squids, just stating some of the signs:

You prefer the cool look of tank top and shorts to the "pussy" full leathers and boots setup.

You tuck in on the freeway and put your feet on the passenger pegs, to get more aerodynamic effect and in order to exude a "I haul ass" aura.

You have a custom paint job and chromed, polished frame.
