Was able to go to the motorcycle show over the weekend and sitting there in the Honda area was a blue ST1300.....

Don't know what it was but it caught my attention and after just a breif moment, fell in love with it.....

I checked out the Futura as well, but the ST1300 felt just right ....

I love the FJR1300 but I couldn't get use to the feel of sitting "in" the bike where as the ST1300 was more "on" the bike....hard to explain...

No doubt the ST1300 is on my list in the future although a VFR will be my main bike...

Triumph motorcycles got my attention.
Most of the cruser bikes there cast a spell, I see the light :D Yeah wouldn't mind riding them.
Still next bike is a project bike, gotten from a salvage yard. A need for the full motorcycle experience :D First the grease then the road.
Find one of these in the yard :D

Didn't go to the show, but my issue with the ST1300 is the ground clearance. Actual floor boards instead of pegs just bugs me. Other then that, I think is it sweet.

The Yamaha FJR1300!!! Drool Drool.
I also like the big Honda, not the ST, but the Blackbird thing?
And the Kawi ZZR1200.

I've been dreaming of an FJR1300 for a few months now, but once I actually sat on one at the motorcycle show it just didn't feel right. Exactly like you said, you are sitting IN it instead of ON it. Made me think I'm going to have to baby step my way to a sport tourer. I didn't sit on one, but after the motorcycle show I'm thinking something along the lines of an FZ1 might be more my speed.

The wife and I liked a few of the bikes, the italian ones though. We looked at the Moto-Guzzi V11 LeMans and the Ducati 1000DS and the ST4s? They just sorta "felt" right to me. A little sporty but not too much like the new buell that I sat on. Damn, my knees were almost in my chest and I was leaned forward at least half way.

I'm still partial to the VFR... And the new flat black...:wow

Maybe after the R6 is paid off:teeth

I looked at all of the S/T bikes. I liked the Futura visually. All in all after seeing them all I still am in love with my Sprint.
I walked away happy in my decision to buy the Triumph. The Aprillia (?) was a little more comfy (as far as I could tell just sitting on it) and has harder lines but for the price diff the Sprint is fine. ;)

VStrom 650. I dream of a VStrom 650 for touring duties and a Gixxer 750 for posing. Now I need to scope out a bank...:laughing

I sat on and fell in love with, the Bimmer R1150GS, more of an adventure-tourer than a sport-tourer, but I bet in the right hands it could give fits to FJRs and STs.

I did get to sit on the FJR and thought that it felt exactly how I expected it would. Large, a bit top-heavy at a standstill, but well built and capable of kicking some serious booty.

The one bike that really surprised me with how taken I was by it was the Triumph Thruxton 900. I guess I've got a real weakness for the old Brit cafe racer lines, though it's more a tourer/cruiser by today's standards than it is a racer.

I liked the VFR, I am in lust after that thing. By next winter I "should" be able to swing a used one in addition to the RR. Everthing just "fits" Two-up comfort was good as well.

The other bike that I liked a lot was the Triumph Sprint. Very good ergos and two-up comfort, I just didn't like how the cockpit felt.

Its tough. Futura with shaft would be ideal... FJR is just too much lb for my tastes.

I was very disappointed that KTM did not have a presence as I wanted to touch/feel the 950 Adventure. That was really the only bike I was interested in seeing.

There was one in a booth displaying someone's wares, can't remember who they were, but I fell in love with that orange paint...looks totally different in person. Sweet!

Yeah, she wasn't too pleased when I shared the thought with her the other night. I had to give her a buff-and-shine just to make up:laughing

I went to the Aprilia Web site to look at the Futura. I then proceeded to buy a rear hugger for my Sprint. Guilt:shhh
