I'm looking to replace our family sedan and I'm getting frustrated with the different internet search options. Does anyone know of good places to look? I'm trying to find a G35, Maxima, or something like that. I wish my wife would go for a WRX or an EVO, but she doesn't like how they look. I also don't want anything much smaller than the P.O.S. Jetta I'll be getting rid of. Any suggestions for other cars to consider, along with info on how to find one?
Thanks, Dog

Sunday is the last day of the International Auto Show in S.F.

You can see every model car under one roof with sales reps to answer questions.

It's at the Moscone Center. Moscone (http://www.moscone.com/)

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I've checked craigslist, autotrader, autobytel, and edmunds. I forgot to mention that I'm looking for slightly used(1-3 years) so I can save a little. Oh, it has to be a four door.

The Auto Show also has the Certified used cars on display.

Any of the Honda/toyota/nissan mid size are good cars......especially if you are planning on getting one that is only a couple years old.

Dont overlook the american cars also, I own a 2002 Pontiac GTP and I love it, great power and decent handling, all with 4 doors. I use it as a daily driver.

Chrysler 300ms are a good one too.

There a bunch to choose from, just stay away from a taurus/sable. They are great little cars when they are good, they ride nice and such, but about 50k itll need a trans, if not the Power steering lines will leak for sure (not a simple fix on these), and dont forget the head gaskets at 60k miles.

Now all you ford lovers, Im not hatin on ya....all makes and models have their issues, its just I make a ton of money from the taurus line of cars, probably triple what I do on all the others.

I agree with trying to get to the auto show, you can sit in them all and see what fits your needs.

Good luck on your search.

Meldog change that transmission fluid often in the TL. The transmisson is the weakest link in that car.A good friend has an 2000 TL and his transmission went out at 117k miles. Dealer replaced it and now (45k)later this one is starting to act up. This is not uncommon in the 99 up TL's. So i would change the fluid alot more often if i owned one.

That is an often overlooked service on any car...people just dont do trans services.

I do mine at every 15k or once a year. no matter what car it is.

Run Mobil1 syn.

All trac Celica are hard to find or atleast for me. You have to buy it from ebay or import in.
