How do I go about cleaning krazy glue off my helmet?
I bought a helmet off some ding dong Barfer :kicknuts that had put krazy on his helmet :confused and then velcro to stick his helmet camera on and now I got off everything but the stupid krazy glue!:mad
Someone please help me with some tips on how to take this crap off!!!:cry

Razor blade, fine sandpaper? Or just leave it.

i heard nail polish remover can get it off, but i dont know what that will do to the helmet, i wouldnt risk it

Yeah, I think nail polish remover (acetone) will take it off, but it might melt the plastic or at least the paint. That's a tough one.:(

I think acetone will melt styrofoam (inside the helmet).

Maybe some 2000 grit sand paper to smooth it out, but the color if there is any, probably won't come off.

hehe u'd think with a name like mad hatter u'd have funky stuff on ure helmet...maybe u should cover it up with some bunny ears or somethin?

Buff it out with a dremel. Although you may have to buff the entire helmet afterwards to match the really really shiny spot where the crazy glue used to be.

Mad Hatter

Yeah, just get a sick ass mad hatter sticker or something to cover it up.

But I've taken krazy off plastic with nail polish remover w/acetone just dilute it. And be very careful. Tape it off or something cuz it will mess up your clear finish.

Maybe you can test if first? :confused

I used to use that for model building, and there's a "cure" product for all those cyanacrylic glues available at hobby stores. I'd try that as I don't think it destroys paint, etc.

"Test on an inconspicuous area" and other disclaimers apply.

Worth a shot....

I would put a sticker on it but the shit is stuck on top of the helmet!:cry

thanks for all the help everyone. I'm gonna go to the hardware store now and tear this helmet a new @$$hole...:teeth j/k. Hopefully things are going to come out good.
I gotta say thanks a whoooooolllleee lot to the barfer that sold me this helmet and didn't tell me though. I'm not going to say no names, :shhh"51504Life":shhh . Grrrrr!!!:twofinger

Don't get bent... this is not a big deal... hit it with the nail polish remover. Then wipe it right off.

Don't put a whole bunch of nail polish remover all over the helmet and let it sit for 2 1/2 days... Just have two rags handy: a clean one and one for the nail polish remover. Justa likea Danielson... Wipe on, Wipe off!
