Worldwide Environmental Products is seeking a reliable, motivated, self-reliant individual to assume the responsibility of National Trainer/ Field Technician.


POSITION PURPOSE


Provide training and support to all Worldwide technicians on our emissions testing equipment.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

Include but are not limited to;

Interview, hire, and train new technicians
Prepare a training program with the assistance of the National Service Director
Perform Technician review/evaluations
Provide back-up service call support during technician vacation/sick day
Promptly and professionally respond to service calls
Assist National Service Director on start-up of new state mandated programs
Troubleshoot equipment and analyze appropriate documents to determine cause of malfunctions in test equipment
Troubleshoot and repair equipment as required to ensure contractual compliance to fit for use limits, response time and equipment downtime requirements.
Accurately and professionally respond to questions from customer regarding test equipment operation
Safely and accurately maintain supply of equipment spares and consumables
Complete all required service call documentation
Accurately and promptly report all maintenance activity, spare usage and consumables usage
Other tasks as required to ensure the smooth operation of the training program or as directed by the National Service Director and/or National Service Manager
Must have credit card for rental vehicles and company expenses
Ability to work before and after business hours as required
Frequent Travel (50% to 65%) with minimal advance notice
Valid driver’s license and good driving record required
Provide service support as needed in other areas


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Prior training and or mentoring experience
Basic electrical/electronics theory
Basic PC operation and standard software packages (Windows, etc.)
Mechanical aptitude/knowledge
Manual dexterity to perform tasks with small hand tools
Able to stoop, bend, reach and climb
Good written, verbal and customer service communication skills
Able to lift up to 80lbs.


EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Associate’s Degree or certificate in Electronics, vocational/technical training or equivalent work experience
Three to five years experience or training in electronic, mechanical or automotive field
Must be familiar with a variety of test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, power tools, etc.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
