I was thinking that maybe we should setup a BARF IRC channel somewhere(#barf on EFNET?)? What does everyone think? I know the AIM chats seem popular but AIM just isn't designed for this sort of thing...
 
I'm already an IRC addict. Soooo much better than AIM.

I agree with you about the AIM chat; the interface is just too cumbersome for that.
 
Man, I haven't hit IRC in ages. Busby -- set it up and moderate it -- I trust you w/ it. :teeth

man, i was so into IRC like 13 years ago before internet was internet.

how do you guys get connected to it now? software, setup, etc? I tried once last year, but couldn't find any channels....
 
mIRC is a pretty common program to use. You can download it at www.mirc.com. It's easy to use. If you have any questions about it, just send me a PM and I'll get back to you.

Yes I got everything setup and running where you'll be able to just click a link and it will automatically log you on to a specific BARF channel with your BARF screen name, BUT I need to get ahold of TSC first :shhh
 
I say we create a channel specific script....to allow basic functions desired by all members :p Like an auto-join, kicks/bans for ops, that kind of fun stuff :p
 
I hang on IRC and am commonly found in #motorcycles and #HTML4.0 .. I go by TedSki and also start #barf on EfNet every time I log on... go ahead and hollah at me!
