Yupyup..nice car. My friend has one. Only complaints I have is how the heck did dodge think up over 200whp and 200lb of torque on 205mm wide tires?? :confused

Finally put an LSD in it for 2004 as well. It just couldn't power out of corners like it shoudl.

ya nice car...my friend was gonna by an SRT but decided to buy WRX instead...with a chip and a downpipe for about an extra $550 bucks wrx is at about 290 horsepower...she wanted the option of all wheel drive for snow trips.

This is a Cobra replica that my Dad and i built in 95. We did complete frame up assembly. It had a 428 Cobra Jet, pushing about 500 HP. We did everything as origional as possible and we won quite a few shows. Had it in Kit Car magazine. My Dad sold the car about a year after we finished it, i still miss it.

Eddie, ive had the Dodge for exactly a year now and Im as happy with it as the day I bought it. It had a problem with warping of the front brake rotors at 8k miles but that was covered under the warranty. Its fine now and has not had a problem since, I have almost 18k miles on it now.
I dont remember how it drives though because my wife blew out her knee 3 1/2 months ago and she has been driving the truck ever since:wow:laughing
Anyway, If I were to do it again I would buy the same truck! Call Serramonte Dodge and ask for fleet sales, I saved $9000 off sticker price;)

I like the slim window under the tail so you can see good out the lower back side. great usable design went into this car. the glove compartment is huge, there's actually two parts the upper and the lower.

it was a beaut! 1990 928 GT formerly owned by Lucky Ekman, President of Devek Performance. FI DOHC 5.0 Porsche V8 mated to 5-speed transaxle, Porsche PSD, 330bhp, about 170mph top end though I didn't try it. absolutely inhaled pavement. and too much gas in town. someday a GTS maybe. still have a thing for these big ole GT cars.

Lets not forget the LSD either.
Even if drifting is not your thing, the car still makes an awsome track tool. Great ballanced handling. Pretty fun to blast arround in.

The 4age is actually an awsome engine, and was one of
Toyotas premier tuning engines for quite a while.

Also for a while they were a great bargain, then all the american kids saw initial D, and the prices exploded.

i copy/pasted the mods from a page i made a long time ago when he was trying to sell it.

it was supercharged, and had a 3 way nonslip clutch, cams, flywheel, and i'm not sure whatelse. all i know is that's what is said on the dyno report :D

I was looking at getting an older miata, for a commuter car/track/autocrosser, but when I sat in one my knees hit the back of the steering wheel. I'm not that tall or big, a hair short of 6' tall and about 200lbs, and even with the seat all the way back and the wheel all the way up it was stilll tight. just curiouse

I'm about the same size, a little heavier at 215 and fit in my 91 just fine without the seat moved all the way back (maybe an inch or so left) You fit "in" a car like this wrapped around you. I know a number of owners taller and bigger. Dont expect to be able to move around or change positions though. Its not a GT.

thats funny, becuase im 6'4" and a lot of that is in the legs, and i had absolutly no issues fiting my my 91 miata. the head room was a bit of an issue... but it was one of the most comfortable cars ive ownd.

mikev, what drop kit did you use? I have the hotchkis, and although it handles very well, the ride is kinda choppy. I occasionally bottom out going over speed bumps (I hit the frame pads).

Mine has a DJM 4/6 kit with Doetsch Tech shocks all the way around. I had planned on Hotchkis 2/4 and then 2" Lower Control Arms/Shackles to get down to 4/6, but it would have cost way too much.

I'm happy with the DJM though... handles good and still rides like stock. I did have to notch the frame in back, but it came with the kit so it was no biggie.

One day I'll nut up and get a set of 20s for it... meh

Here's a pic of my favorite 4 wheel vehicle the day I bought it (dirty).

Spec:
Shifter kart rolling chassis
1975 Maico 250cc Dirtbike motor/tranny ported/bored to god knows what, mikuni carb and a whole buncha other crap grafted on (not very skillfully) by the previous owner ~40-45hp.
Total weight with me on it was less than 300lbs, do the math. No weight gobs of torque - twitchy.

Currently RIP, as the motor ate its rod bearing. About to resurrect it w/ either a CR500 or a 4 banger MC engine - whichever is cheaper. Cant wait to ride that bitch with twice the power!

I agree. Bugs can be some very fun sleepers. I've got a VW powered sandrail, the motors and transaxels are so damn light and can make good power. Any crazy big bore or stroker motor in the back of that thing...maybe a 2180 or 2276? I've seen quite a few other rails running draw thru 2276 turbos pushing well past 200+ hp.

Nice. Glad to hear it wasnt a garden variety chevy car. I just sold my Charger a couple years ago, unfortunately it was an LA car and all I had under the hood was a 318. :thumbup for Mopar. By far my favorite car maker as a whole, with the wildest looking & running models of the musclecar era.

1994 300zx twin turbo. Pretty simple of mods. Filter, z rated tires, subframe spacers, rear strut tower bar, downpipes, testpipes, catback exhaust. Used to have an upgraded ECU and boost controller but it was too much so I sold it and bought some other toys. :cool
