Hey everyone, I just got my Fender Eliminator kit from some dude on ebay, but I don't know what brand, or how to install it. I think someone told me I had to cut the original one off, but I don't want to get a saw and go nuts until I know excatly what to cut. I have a 2002 ZX-6r, if that helps. Thanks.

Just hack it to hell. I put on a pyramid undertail and just had to cut upto the fender.

I've cut all of the mud flap piece off, and all that's left is the trunk part. Do I have to cut into the trunk part as well, and lose my trunk?

With my Pyramid undertail I didn't loose any of the trunkspace but I think the pyramid is the only undertail that keeps all the stock trunkspace. Do you know which undertail you got yet?

Actually, it wasn't an undertail kit, just a fender eliminator. I'm thinking it's the Comp Werks kit, but he didn't give me the piece that replaces the trunk. So I'm going to go bitch at him, and try to get my money back, and pick up an undertail kit.

I hope you can get a refund? Saw one of those kits at Scuderia, like $80 and kinda' heavy. wondered why people get those instead of just using a dremel on the fender, which I did later for zero bucks. I even like they way the tire and even the pipe gets illuminated by the license light at night, makes me alot more visible at night nevermind the tail light blinker. this will all change w/the undertail that just came in though.
you are welcome to use my dremel if you come down to the city, then you gots money for other stuff.
here's my hack job first pass at it. could've trimmed more.

That looks sweet. I did the same thing too, I just grabbed my brother's Rotozip, and I hacked the fender off. Drilled some hole for the plate and my short stalks, and it looks not too bad. I'm going to run with this for a little bit, until I get the money for a under tail kit. Thanks for the offer too.

the mileage will be slow going still. I'll feel more comfortable after the CCT etc. gets looked at post-break in. then hell yeah, it's all about heading to points far and wide! :D

Well, the dude replied to me, and he forgot the other piece. So it's on the way he said tomorrow. Damn, after I spent an hour customing my fender. Oh well, I think I'm just going to see how it looks, and sell it if it's crap. Thanks for the help everyone.

I recomend to either buy an undertail kit, like from eurobikes. or just buy a $50 tail light intergrator and cut that fender off. try not to cut the trunk though. with the undertail kit you will remove the trunk. i prefer the use of the trunk though. on the other side, the look of the undertail is sick.

Yeah, I'm just going to sell the Comp Werks kit, and keep my hacked fender. I just drilled some holes in the side of the trunk, and stuck in some short stalks. Looks decent, for being free. I'll try to get some pixs up in case someone's curious.
