Well, the economy is still down the drain, and rent keeps going up, so I am CONSIDERING looking for a roomate to share my place. It will really depend on finding the right person, as I'd rather pay more and be at peace than save a few $$ with the roommate from hell ... ;-)
This is the middle floor of a victorian house, wooden floors, spacious living room, separate dining room, small kitchen (gas stove, no dishwasher), decorative fireplace, the second bedroom is of decent size, has a window and closet.
Completely furnished except for whatever you need in your room.
private locked garage for storage and my motorcycle (if you have a motorcycle, it would be perfect for parking). My car takes the spot in front of the garage, so you would have to park on the nearby streets.
I can't sublet, you will have to apply to be placed on the lease (expect about a 6-month term + security deposit).
your rent would be slightly less than 1/2 the total rent ($1,200), accounting for the slightly smaller room size and street parking.
Utilities (Water, garbage, electricity, gas, internet(cable + wireless-G), phone, DirecTV + Tivo) are not included and will be split 50/50.
Close to Jack London Square, parks, tennis courts, beach walk,
enough about the place, here's more about me ...
White male, 31, Canadian, speak French, educated, gainfully employed, motorcycle rider, non-smoker, good cook, pretty quiet and laid back, respectful. I work from home 1-2 days / week, and commute the rest of the time. Like having friends over for dinner once in a while.
You:
male or female, no preference really, though if you're a female, it might take me a while to break 6 years of not putting the seat down ... you've been warned! ;-)
be somewhat around my age, have a sense of humour, not in any major rush to move, easy-going but responsible, employed, preferably educated but intelligence supercedes that requirement. The landlord will require good credit and references.
I could try to think of more, but it's more a matter of "clicking" than specific requirements at this point. I am not looking for a best friend, just someone I can live with.
