just picked up a gsxr750 and the rear disc are getting hot, disc is not smooth but pads are very new. front stays cool after riding but not the back, i think pads are sticking to the disc, what can i do to fix this? bleed brakes, change disc? thx in advance

john

Did you service the brake fluid? Did you clean the caliper pistons?
Are the pads in properly? If they are wedged in wrong, that's big trouble.

thx ill ck on it tonight, i just got it tomorrow but the brake fluid in the resovior is new and really a yellow/clear color. john

put the bike up on a pit stand (or the centerstand if it has one), pop it in neutral, and see if you can spin the rear tire such that it keeps turning for a bit after you let go. if the wheel stops IMMEDIATELY, then the rear caliper probably needs a rebuild as the piston is sticking.

THX ALL. ILL DO THAT TONIGHT. JOHN
