I'm discontented. I'm a champagne lifestyle & beer-budget kinda guy....

:laughing

What? No "Friend(s)" option?

:laughing

Like faz said, it basically boils down to yourself/myself/ourselves.

Then again, there are times when the seemingly self-centered/idiotic/childish/etc etc etc actions of others just piss you off and ruin your day/week/month/year/life. Kind of hard to just blow some things off.

as much as I'd love to blame all my misfortunes on others....

most of the events screwing with my life have been the result of my smeg-ups (either directly or indirectly).

All her fault, she just doesn't realize what she's missing out on.

When I was younger, I could blame my parents/friends/teachers/babysitters. Now that I'm old enough to take responsibility for my life, it's my decision to let bygones by bygones and make the lemonade. I still have a generally shitty outlook on life and humanity, but I'm working on seeing the bright side sometimes. It's a process.

Blame's a cowards way out. And a totally useless process...

So you can't blame yourself? :p

Sure you can, but what a waste of time. Of course everything is yours to claim blame. How else should we live?

But it's still not something to ponder...rather find where you want to be and spend time pontificating how to get there.

I find that to be a very agreeable outlook ;)

Basically it boils down to: Fuck them, life moves forward, don't let the mouth-breathing dullards influence your life beyond what it takes for you to toe them into the gutter where they most likely belong.

Woah...that sounds angry! :laughing

Me, myself and I.

I cannot control external circumstances. However, I still control my own fate.

I put myself, because it was last in the list of options provided.

I would put the government if it were an option. It's the best government on the globe, but damn it could be so much better! :(

thanks all. I've never really had a problem being happy/content. I was just trying to see what a large portion of society would attempt to blame their discontent on.

For obvious reasons.

Most people, when you pose the question that way, would take the responsibility for their contentedness, but when it comes to dealing with the situation, a lot of people will blame others (i.e. If it weren't for x, I would be more happy)
