im in a predicament here. my friend wants to sell his 01 750 and i want it. this guy that does our tatoos says he wants to buy my f2 which has been used greatly i.e dropped,raced,stunted and my friend called me up today and said AND I QUOTE: if u sell the tatoo guy ur bike u can give me the money and make payments for the rest of the money you would owe me

i've wanted to get a newer bike due to the 929 not running, and too damn $$$ to fix and shite. its a nice bike but of course has been crashed nuthin a little $$ and tlc could fix. needs new gas tank and paint job.

fill me in with some of your insight and what you guys would do.

$4500 crashed - 49 state bike - salvaged title - but runs like a champ isnt the prettiest though
 
i'm sorry dude, but no one can help you out with that kinda situation here. I dont know you, i dont' know your friend, nor the tattoo guy.

Just doing the math, you'd be giving up ownership of one bike, and not owning another.... 1-1+0 = 0

Dude, I just sold my F2 last week and got a 97 GSXR750. That's pretty funny. Anyways, get rid of the F2 and get the GSX-R. The price seems a little high though for a salvaged bike with cosmetic ugliness.
 
Id rather save up another 500 bucks and get a clean titled, clean fairing gixxer. BTW how is he making payments on a salvaged title bike and a out of state bike too? Didn't know you could find those at a dealer.
 
dude, first rule: never go into business with family or loan money to family if you care about getting the money back. second rule: same as first but replace family with friends.

money is the quickest way to end a friendship.

hahah no flaming necessary. well he bought it for 6g's up in oregon. hes not making payments.

no pics available. but my bike is as b anged up as his. it needs paint and a new gas tank, to hook up brAKE light and rear blinkers and front blinkers.

i would fix the 929 but i have no clue as to what is wrong.

i want to put the r6 tail on the f2 and finish this project but the reason my friend wants to do this is so he can have money to get into a house which my brother is moving into and eventually i will be moving into
 
I sold my F3 and bought an '01 Gix 750. Only difference is I bought the Gix NEW. They're great bikes, but only you can make the call based on condition.
 
i wouldn't get a salvaged bike for 4500....

im gonna do it. the reason the bike is salvaged is because the owner in oregon dropped it in his driveway and scratched the stator cover/plastic up. nuthin big but imma do it. ill let ya guys no when i get it
 
plus i got a boat load of new parts he said he would put on for me so itll be like NEW minus the paint job (has lp race upper/lowers)
