So hey, can I bring my helmet in my carry on luggage when I fly to Vegas for the Femmoto Track Day?
Or will security confiscate it?

Thing is, I'm scared to put it in checked luggage b/c my suitcase is really soft and I'm scared it's going to get banged around (you know those luggage handlers).

i flew with one on southwest and stashed it overhead with no problems.

i wouldn't wanna check it as luggage, either!

Cool.

Yea, never sure about what they will allow. I saw a girl get candle holders taken away at the San Ho airport.

Oh, and just in case you didn't know...never walk into a bank with your helmet on. I did that once by accident just b/c I'm too lazy to take it off half the time. I almost got jumped by like 3 people.

Gas stations dont seem to like it either. I went into one early in the am once, guy at the counter totally freaked. Went back there a couple weeks later and they had a sign saying that motorcyclists had to take off their helmets before entering.

FYI, it's actually against the law to enter a bank with something concealing your face. So if you have a halloween costume that covers your face you best take it off before you go into the bank.

HAHAHAHA. That's funny. I never take mine off at gas stations either.

I flew down to San Diego to pick up my bike, carried on my helmet and aerostich, no problems.

I almost walked into the bank like that the other day....then I thought about it for a second and was like....hmmmm they may get pissed

As long as your helmet does not have a side mounted AK-47, you should be ok.

Everytime I ride to work, I go through the x-rays and have no problems. Just make sure you put it in a bag to protect it from scratches and such.

Guess there won't be many Middle Eastern Women opening bank accounts in burkas then.

Just wear your helmet on the plane. You'll be safer and you won't have to hold onto it. ;)

I have a fleece lined helmet bag. It also makes for a great carry bag for things. I carry it with me when I go on vacation to the easty coast. On large planes, there is usually enough room to put it under the seat in front of you. I had to check it on the last small commuter flight I took. Asked the guys to put it someplace safe, and it came out ok.

copy that.

I've travelled many times for car races with a helmet in a bag without any trouble.......I don't mind checking my other gear, but I carry the helmet
