Red Line Synthetic Oil - Keep it or Lose it?

I bought a previously owned (used) 1995 Suzuki DR350 within the last year. I have only ridden it in the dirt about 5 times (but around my neighborhood several other times).

The previous (and original) owner gave me a whole lot of stuff when I bought the bike from him including a new front tire, a couple of service manuals, an oil filter and a couple of quarts of Red Line Synthetic oil.

He told me that he has used Red Line oil exclusively.

I should probably do an oil change on my bike soon.

My questions to the Dirty Barf community:

1. Any experience with Red Line (good or bad)?
2. Does Red Line make motorcycle specific oil or is it all the
same?
3. Do you use petroleum based oil or semi synthetic or fully
synthetic oil (and why you choose to use this type)
4. What brand of oil do you use?

thanks in advance,

ps....sugar pine this saturday!

ive been using Redline products on every vehicle i own. when i had a DRZ, i used that after the engine was broken in. it sure made shifting a lot easier. i was worried that it would cause problems with the clutch and the whole "moto vs. car oil" debate that will never go away.
so i went down to the Redline Factory (located in Benicia) and talked to one of the Redline reps and discussed the whole oil thing. he assured me that there was NO problem whatsoever using that in my bike. after all, Redline sponsors a lot of drag bikes, oval track bikes and other forms of motorcycles.
to conclude with my ramblings... stick with it! its some great stuff. you can even use it in your car. i put the tranny and gear oil too and shifting in my truck improved also.
if nothing else... Redline makes that Water Wetter that everyone uses... :teeth

Thanks guys,

So Sparky,

Are you saying that Redline makes one type of oil (not one oil that is motorcycle specific and another that is automobile specific)?
