Day 1:

Starting out early at 7:08 AM, rolling out of Hayward.

Stopped by the bux on the way to the ride meeting point to have a cup of coffee and get my pose on :teeth

After I get my morning java fix, I head over to the 7-11 to gas up the bike and meet up with the group. This doesn't look right. :confused

Rolled up thru Yosemite, didn't stop much since I seemed to have a clear shot through all the campers and touristos. Stopped of for lunch at Tioga Gas Mart where I had a great steak caesar salad.

I met up with flying_hun and unckledunkle and we decided to continue on 120 and take the combination of 6-360-95 into Hawthorne. It added an extra hour but the stretch of 120 from 395 to 6 made it all worth it. Here is a picture from the summit

Then we stopped in Benton quick, I downed a Gatorade quick and we talked to a guy on an FJR and his friend on a new Concourse, they were on their way back to Florida after touring to the west coast. View from Benton

It was great riding with you too. I forgot to ask what your plate means though. I spent almost all of the way through Yosemite trying to figure it out :p

Day 2:

The second day we woke up late and skipped breakfast. I decided to ride with Dub713, Bzworthy, and Greener, heading east out of town.

We stopped for a while at the Junction of NV-360 and US-6 for a while. That is where we saw these wild horses.

From there we rode Benton Crossing Road and went up 395 to Mammoth. Here is a shot of the vista above Mammoth.

After that we zipped down the hill to Devil's Post Pile and then over to Lee Vining for a late lunch. Dub and Greener went back across 120 twards Benton while Bzworthy and I took the quick way back to Hawthorne on 167.
 
The next day I didn't take many pictures since I wanted to get home fast. Went and ate breakfast at Jacks

I packed up and headed out of Hawthorne at 11:30; by 1:00 I was at the top of Sonora Pass :p Almost ran out of gas because of that.

When I made my one and only stop at Cold Springs after 150 miles, the SV took on 3.9 gallons in the 4.2 gallon tank :shocker

From there I headed back to Hayward direct though the valley heat, getting home 5 hours after I left Hawthorne.

Here is what I looked like after all the bugs and heat. All in all, a very fun weekend, thanks goes out to No Gall for setting it all up. :thumbup

CHVLIER = Chevalier. French for knight or horseman. A nickname granted me by my wife. :cool

Thanks for posting the additional pics. We saw the horses out there too. Very neat. :thumbup Though I must say that I'm a bit disappointed in BARF that no one has made any phallic references to that roadside attraction on the trailer. :laughing
