What I call, Outlap Mishap. Dave Moss wanted me to measure the complete front suspension travel with the zip tie, but that takes a long time, so I shortened the time, not on purpose. My first off course, but hey, someone's gotta make sure the cows don't get on the outside track in turn 8.

Who is talking about needing to go faster? My scooter only goes so fast the rest is up to the rider.

New race tires, new upgraded suspension, new engine top end, new rearsets, and 95 Degrees F out there that weekend.

Mater: You know, I once knew this girl Doreen. Good-looking girl. Looked just like a Jaguar, only she was a truck! You know, I used to crash into her just so I could speak to her.

I'd have some sweet side-fairing footage, but the person who was begging me to setup my camera didn't plug the wires properly.

I agree with Mr. Earnest with regards to using race tires at the race track. And at 2:13s using DOTs is the way to go. But crashing at 2:30s, I wouldn't say its the tires fault.

I believe my mistakes were using crappy US made Dunlop 209's (UK made 209 dot's have never given way under the same circumstances and even higher speeds), not enough laps to put heat into the right side of the tire (it was session 2, lap 2 and the 2nd day on those tires and I forgot to bring the tire warmers), and going into 3 a bit too wide. It seems that line through 3 bites a lot of riders.

Anyhow, my best was a 2:02 the day prior to the crash. Too quick to be riding the US made 209's, Lance Keigwin and others said.
