I needed a place to start whining (and there's now enough going on in the offseason to justify rolling ye olde thread over), so here goes:

Welcome to the 2013 BARF NFL thread.

Hit it.

Enter the whining:

(I do understand it -- from both sides, but what a bummer.)

Good timing, free agent signings 'bout to heat up this week.

Pittsburgh lost Harrison, no biggie, he's getting on in years. It's Mike Wallace that everybody wants. :teeth

What is the official season start date? March 12 I think. Tuesday

New York Giants win Superbowl this year. [/thread]

Niners going to get Cribbs, Wallace, Harvin, or Reggie Bush?

Why would Wallace go to non contender lika Miami?

Money.

only one of those i could see SF looking into would be Cribbs. Harvin is good but is going to want too much money to extend. Baalke and, more importantly, Paraag Marathe are too good at the money part of things to tie themselves up on guys like that, they know they are going to have to pay Kaepernick, Aldon Smith, etc within the next 2 seasons. They'll keep building from the draft and supplementing it with free agents.

Going after a bunch of high priced big name guys doesn't work. Just ask the Eagles.

Good point. Nnamdi Asomugha was pro ball corner on the Raiders and not earning $10+ mil on the Eagles. Also read that he ate in his car instead of with the team the entire season. :wow

Seahags give up a 1, a 7, and a mid round pick next year for Percy Harvin. Plus they're going to pay him big money. He supposedly wants Megatron/Fitzgerald money.

Makes them a lot better this year assuming that Harvin stays healthy, but holy crap they're going to be in salary cap hell in like 2 seasons

They better hope that Harvin's migranes aren't caused by noise...

oh hey what's up Anquan Boldin to the Niners for a 6th round pick.

LOL SEAHAWKS.

Bet the Niner's walked away from a deal for Harvin when the Vikes wanted too much and then robbed the Raven's only giving up a 6th rounder for the receiver that killed them in the superbowl.

Dangelo Hall was released by the Skins. 29 and was due $8 mil. Cheaper and younger than Revis. Probably get a $4-6mil deal.

All things are possible in March, but really, it wouldnt surprise me if the Giants finished first or third in their own Division. The NFC North is a tough one to call.

:laughing

Boldin is a beast, the Ravens wanted to keep him but just couldn't afford him. What a great move. :thumbup

As for the wide receivers being traded today. Clearly Seattle has gotten the better player at this point. That's assuming Harvin isnt a total basketcase mentally, which is quite possible. I wouldnt be that ecstatic about a 34 year old wide receiver if I was a SF fan, although you got him for a penny.
