The number of crashes indicated to me that the track was unpredictable off-line. I'm being slack, so would someone tell me what happened to Dovizioso?
Thanks, and best wishes to The Whole Sick Crew.
I read somewhere that he said he exited the previous turn better/faster, arrived 5-6 km faster to the turn, broke harder than usual, and tossed it

Actually... Some interesting developments at the sponsor level.
Apparently the Movistar group may be in jeopardy of dropping off MotoGP next season.
If that happens there may be a few possibilities:

Factory Yamaha (Solo)
Monster Yamaha (Factory)
Petronas Yamaha (Factory)
*Sky VR46 Yamaha (Factory)(Wishful thinking)

*Wishful thinking because Rossi has said he wouldn't field a MotoGP team until after 2020.
But... Sky is a broadcast company like Movistar. The broadcast rights will be up for grabs if Movistar pulls out and Sky may want it.
If that happens, Sky will have bikes in all 3 classes and the broadcast rights. Then Petronas can filed the Yamaha Satellite Bikes and everyone will be happy.

Thank you.

old pic just for grins

wonder if Bulega will have a Sky VR46 ride next year. Valentino is probably getting tired of big hair & small results.

I feel bad for Bulega. I think he is just too big for that class. Get some power under him!!!

On a day when half the grid hit the ground, this result really shows why VR, JL and MM are on a level above the rest.

Post-race press conference actually had some interesting comments and genuinely funny moments. Lorenzo and Rossi seemed very sincere when answering the question that, no, they can't be friends when competing at this level but they really do have respect for one another. Lorenzo didn't hesitate to concede that the bike Rossi rode at Ducati was "more complicated" which is a nice way of saying turnip truck.

When asked about the tires, Lorenzo said the Michelin front tire could use more edge grip. Just imagine what this more comfortable and confident Lorenzo would do on the Ducati with more with more edge grip.
totally agree. Not only did Lorenzo say Rossi's Duc was more complicated, he also repeated that his Duc is the best ever. When it comes from the mouth of the most talented competitor Rossi has had over time, in a position to say whatever he wanted with little recourse, one can't argue.

I'd like to see him in Moto2. The guy might have been capable in CEV and just hit a growth spurt that making him too big for Moto3 now.

don't believe his results paint that picture.

4 DNFs out of 7 racers & ZERO points gained in the 3 he did finish.
for me that spells the guy just can't handle the competition.
Maria Herrera would have had plenty of points with the sort
of bike and support that Bulega has.

Looking at the results of all the Rossi Academy riders its fair to say Rossi and his staff have proven excellent judges of talent. If they still see something in Bulega after this season, there must be more than we see from a distance.

Some of those DNF weren't his fault. One of the last I recall he was battling for podium and got taken out from behind.
