That explains it, I skip over most of what EDR says.

Still waiting for one track to confirm a date. We WILL release tomorrow, despite a response one way or another.

The 2018 AFM is as follows:

March 17-18 Buttonwillow
April 14-15 Buttonwillow
May 26-27 Thunderhill
June 16-17 Thunderhill
July 7-8 Thunderhill
September 1-2 Sonoma
October 20-21 Thunderhill

The AFM tremendously thanks Jesse and Leah Carter for their benevolence in giving us their April date at Buttonwillow to give us a 7th round. The date is an EXCELLENT date for the club and racing and we couldn't be more pleased with Keigwins and the date.

I hope some of our members will be able to attend a Keigwins trackway this season as a thank-you to Jesse and Leah. They've done very well by us with the deal we worked out.

Now that the schedule is set in stone, the back story was the most difficult date planning I've seen yet: Sonoma's parent company took several weeks for their own event(s) when our traditionally spring date at Sonoma is. That put us down 1 event. Soon after, Thill and Buttonwillow released dates, two of which conflicted, meaning we only had two thunderhill dates and two Butonwillow dates.

Thunderhill worked hard to find us a June date which is another great date. For that date, I want to thank Shawn Reilly and Dave Benjamin for their benevolence in releasing the date to the AFM. They have been longtime supporters of the AFM (As all our TD providers continue to be) and are great friends to the AFM. Thanks to their help here, we were able to put together a really good schedule from what started to be, a pretty horrible schedule.

Some of our tracks give us the same weekends every year. Others move them around. We're putting heavy pressure on those who move our dates around to give us a first right of refusal on the following years dates.

Thanks all. Looking forward to a great 2018 with this schedule.

Thank you for the efforts put forth in making this schedule. We are lucky to have 7 Rounds. A friend of mine that races in Canada's VRRA, only has 4 Rounds, due to winter weather, but he chooses to live there.

Did my first track day back in 2008 with Z2, and passed NRS with them a year later.

Agreed! Thank you Berto (and Keigwin's)! Frustrations about earlier communication aside, the schedule looks great especially knowing what challenges Sonoma created. Excited about the year!
