And took the time to find a copy machine and a roll of tape?

Anyone with information regarding this incident, please pm me here.

When I came out of work and got to my bike, there were 4 bikes sort of piled around each other at the end of kaplan lane, right where it intersects with clementina st. this is the parking alley behind the sf moma parking garage.

There was an ex500 that was _messed_ up, on its side with a broken kickstand, leaking oil, a BMW R bike with damage to its signals, windsheild, and elseware but ridable, a newer style honda magna with an effed up gastank and other damage, and my vtr with exhaust, faring, signals and other damage.

A xerox of a business card from a trucking company was taped to the tanks of each bike, but when called they denied any involvement.

Quite a mystery how their card was taped on all four bikes, eh?

Police are of little help, insurance will investigate.

Anyway, to reiterate, if anyone here is one of the affected parties, or a witness, or knows anything about this, pm me and maybe we can coordinate witnesses and any investigation. without proof, nothing happened.

There is more that I need to talk to an affected party with that I dont want to say here.

The company will (should) have detailed dispatch logs for every driver.

Talk to a lawyer, file a small claims suit, and have them served.

It will take awhile to get a court date, so the suit is merely leverage - it may get them to admit their driver is at fault instead of seeing the suit through, where (by then) you may have had enough time to gather the necessary evidence to win the judgement.

Just a thought. I'm sure you'll find someone who saw something. Maybe stop by their yard at closing time with a zoom lense and look for matching damage or paint marks on each of their trucks?

Good luck,

-Q!

I would try to have the suits 'attached' or 'joined' or whatever the legal term is, since it was all caused by one act. That pushes damages above the small claims limit, so threaten to find an attorney and then file for attorneys fees when you win. It's much less hassle on your part (in small claims, you do all the leg work)

we are in the process of getting everyone together. so far the magna and the vtr (me) are in contact, and it looks like we may have found the BMW.

I would really like to find the owner of that ex500 that was totally destroyed.
