Hey everyone I'm new to the forum. I just got my M1 and am trying to decide between the Kawasaki ZX14 and the Suzuki Hayabusa. I am leaning towards the Hayabusa because it looks better but in terms of maintenance, dependability and performance, they're pretty evenly matched, right?

I'm trying to decide if you're a troll.

Both bikes are extremely fast though from what I understand (haven't ridden one but have talked to alot of people who have) the Hayabuse is pretty well mannered until you really open the throttle.

Neither bike is a beginner bike and both will get you in more trouble than a new rider can get out of in just a matter of seconds of unrestrained effort. I would never recommend to any of my friends to get either bike as their first bike!

Neither bike is going to be fast enough unless you put nitrous on it. Make sure you figure that into the price.

I was going to recommend the Honda V-strom but apparently they've been discontinued.

Get the Busa...................:laughing

Fixed!

Hey everyone I'm a blatant troll or a well-intentioned ignorant fool and I just got my M1 and am trying to decide between the Kawasaki ZX14 and the Suzuki Hayabusa. I am leaning towards the Hayabusa because it looks better but in terms of maintenance, dependability and performance, they're pretty evenly matched as utterly the wrong choices for a new rider seeking a first bike, right?

The Hayabusa has the best record of reliability with the bolt-on turbo kits. Nitrous adds some fun, but you have to keep recharging the bottle. Believe me, the turbo kit is the way to go.

Stock both the ZX-14 and 'Busa are pretty tame. They NEED some after market support before they're really worthy rides, so keep that in your budget. The 'Busa after market is well established.

At a minimum you're going to need:

The bike
Turbo kit
Under tail kit
Sliders
Lowering kit
Extended swing arm
Gold anodized wheels
PC III
New brake and clutch levers
LED tail lights
LED license plate surround

You can sell your turn signals and mirrors on Ebay for some money.

Oh, you're also going to need a helmet and MAYBE a back protector. The rest of that other shit is for people who plan to crash.

Have fun, and don't listen to all of these old fucks on here who talk about learning how to ride and buying safety gear. Riding a bike is EASY (the grip on the right makes it go fast), the rest you learn as you go.

If you dont have a couple years track experience or have renewed your permit several times than :rose no matter what you get

Troll? Why does it matter how I look? I'm a decent looking guy, but I am 6'4" and 290 lbs so I need a big bike. I sat on an GSXR600 and GSXR1000 and both are too small for me and the Hayabusa and the ZX14 both feel pretty good.

Troll. Trolls always pretend to not know what troll means. If youre serious.. "troll" means that you're acting like such a foolish idiot that people think that you posted that spew of retardation only to stir up shit. Anyone who knows anything about motorcycles knows that you will either wad, quit or die within a month of buying either of those for a first ride. I dont care if youre 7 foot 450 pounds, get a cheap small used bike.

i havent ridden zx14, but i love my busa.
2008 busa is officially out, so there you go :)

dont think turbo kits are available for 2008 yet.

but yea, if it's first bike, get something smaller engine size, you'd be surpised how fast 600cc bikes are, and how high front wheel can go up even with 300lbs on the tank.

I am new and do not know your lingo but thanks for the explanation. I physically cannot fit on smaller bikes, and am going to buy either the ZX14 or the Hayabusa. If you don't have anything nice to say, keep it to yourself.
