Generally I stay close to home with my necessary work on my bikes... There are some quality shops around here for sure. I however have a special needs bike and that is the Husky :teeth Knowing Rich (Owner) from his support with the race team I felt he would be the right one to work on this bike. Since he has one and works on many different Motards and Dirt bikes besides the sportbiles I knew he would know what to do.

So I made the trip over the hill to his shop in Soquel after breaking in the bike.

He did the Mod's to make it run right as they are beat down by California's strict requirements and seem like a Honda XL 125. Rich did the tuning and such to make it run right and after a great time at a track day I decided to do a little more to the bike to get it set up mo betta.

Here is the shop. Kind of cool that with a little weather expected he pitches up canopies to cover the bikes.

Here is Rich doing new brake pads for Travis while he looks on.. a quick brake bleed and Travis was set for his trip back to SF. Now that is even a longer ride to get to the shop.

Pic 2 is Joel working on another customers bike.

Pic 3 is Rich's Dyno.. where true power is tested.

Pic 4. is a motor Rich is working on.. seems he has quite the following of dirt bike customers besides the motard and sportbile crowd.

Pic 5. is a nice Husky..

I did ... I mean Rich did the following to my bike.

He safety wired the critical components.
* Front Calipers
* misc bolts.
* Oil Cap

He installed handlebar guards..

He installed small blinging turn signals and adjusted the wiring so they could be quick release (plug ins) so I can remove them easily for track days.

He went thru the bike in detail to track down a small oil leak.. replacing gaskets and making sure everything was alllllll good.

He added some sticky stuff I bought from Josh a Pirelli.
Pirelli 0 in front and Metzler race in back.. thanks to Chris at the track club for picking them up for me..! :thumbup

And the necessary license plate modifications.. :teeth

I am looking forward to getting the bike back to the track for some more fun...

I also had a great time :bs ing with Rich about the good old days.. of
Pismo beach
Riding in the bay lands when you could ride in many areas around the bay.. back in the day before modern anti-dirt bike times.. 3rd ave, Palo Alto Baylands, PAL track.. etc.. we had lots of choices besides Holister, Medcalf, Sand Hill and Carnagie. Most were park, unload and ride.. good times.

Rich had also made a custom metal bracket to keep the leathers off the pipe..all little tricks he learned from working on his and other tards..

All with a smile.. thanks much Rich..:thumbup
We are going to go riding together soon... slideways baby! :Port

If your in the area or want that special attention.. give them a try.. worth the trip.
