Question Wiring Front Turn Signals

I have a Honda CBR 929 that has had the wiring hacked up. I am adding front turn signals and I am a little confused the connections. The aftermarket turn signal has 2 wires a solid black (+) and Black with white Stripe (-). I would assume that I just solder the (+) to (+) and (-) to (-). Is this correct and what happens to the ground wire (green)?

Is it a 2 wire connector, or a 3 wire connector?

Bikes don't really have a 'ground' in the sense of household wiring. The frame and most metal parts of the bike are wired negative, and positive voltage is supplied by a wire. If you have a 3rd wire at the turn signals, it's probably for a running light. You can find plenty of after market signals with running lights, and you could always install OEM lighting.

If your bike is relatively modern, you may be able to find wiring adapters at your local motorcycle shop. LP makes a set of pigtails with OEM style connectors on one side, and standard bullet connectors on the other. This is absolutely the best route to use - simply crimp bullet connectors to your turn signals, and plug them in. No more hacking at the stock signal lead.

If you do decide to modify the stock pigtail, be very careful how you strip the wire. It's easy to botch the strip job, and end up in a situation where you don't have enough wire left to splice the cable together.

By the way: Under no circumstances should you chop the bike's wiring harness. If you're going to chop anything, chop the pigtails from your accessories.

You bought a single filament signal when your fronts are dual filaments...

This is a big help.

It must be a Dual Filament for the wiring diagram in my manual shows 3 wires going to the turn signal. (2 wires out the same plug and a third separate wire) Can I still use Single filament turn signal lights?

Sorry for my ignorance what is the abbreviation OEM mean?
I have LP lights so I will look for pigtails at my shop. As far as chopping wires, I bought the bike for $1,900 so the previous owner was not very detailed and clumsily removed a lot of things, so I am going through the bike and trying to fix various issues.

u should be able to use the single filaments. It just wont illuminate while the bikes running, only when the signal is working. theres a ground wire, and two power wires. Ones power whenever the bike is running, ones power only when the flasher is on.
