PLEASE HELP TWIX​


So last weekend while my girlfriend Kimberley was at work when this poor 6 month old puppy was brought in to Banfield Veterinary Hospital in Daly City. His name is Twix and he is a sweet and friendly Pit Bull. He is only 19.8 lbs and is losing weight. He is no longer throwing up as he was when his owners brought him in. They claimed he has always been small, and was the smallest of the litter which implies they may be breeders. His situation is very dire as he has kidney failure. They are not sure if he was born with it or if he got into a toxin. His owners did not specify, nor did they return for him. The vet tried and tried to contact the owners who claimed they would be back for him, but then stopped answering their phones. The vet can’t afford to treat him much longer and will need to put this poor puppy down soon. He has a fantastic gentle attitude and still runs and plays when he feels up to it. He’s not eating much, but he is eating some.

Today, after contacting many different groups, we have located a Pit Bull rescuer up in Santa Rosa who is willing to take him in and make a real effort to bring him back to health so he won’t be put down. There is still no guarantee he will live a full life, but maybe we can get him a couple years. However this treatment isn’t free and we desperately need to raise as much as we can to help pay for his care. I’m begging anyone who can help, to please send whatever you can, and I make you a solemn oath, it will go 100% to his care and improvement.

I will be pooling the funds and sending money in lumps as we get it. You are more than welcome to call to verify the story as today the poor puppy is still at Banfield Veterinary Hospital in Daly City at Pet Smart.

:bump and to be clear, this was cross-posted on my ex-gf's Facebook. She has a friend who works with Fresno Bully Rescue. I personally despise the Facebook. :laughing
Hope this little guy's situation improves.
 
So we have succeeded in finding someone to help bring this poor guy back to health. The organization is a rescue called Reunion Rescue. They will be funding the recovery and need donations. Twix will be heading to Bundocks Kennels in Sebastopol California. We are very excited that we have help and we are delivering Twix (may be renamed Baxter) this afternoon, February 23rd by 6pm. I hope to have video and pictures to provide after we take him up there.

Baxter\Twix is now at his kennel, and will begin his treatment in the morning. I'll post up more pics in the morning and the story of his trip up there, but I wanted to share a pic. Please understand that the kennel where he is at does not have a lot of money. They could really use some additional help.
