_______________SOLD____________________________________

Asking $9000.00 - I am open to any reasonable offers from serious buyers..

This is a 07 SXV 550 Supermoto converted to a roadracer. If you don't know know about these bikes here are some links to reviews.

This is a bike that was developed by former GP racer- Ian Newton (UK) for a 450 class in Thundersport GB (like our AFM) . He uses the 450 motor- but I opted for a 550.

If you do know about these bikes you know that they FLY! Some concerns with the 2007 M.Y. is that the motor sealant (orange color) would leak. This was taken care of under warranty on this bike by the previous owner. There are only 5000 miles on this bike total, but I recently had the motor rebuilt by a very reputable builder on the east coast (Allen Noland) so it is ready to go.

I bought all of the parts for this conversion from Ian Newton and had them shipped over. He sells these bikes new for + $16k. Parts include STM Slipper clutch, GP Tech clip ons, Super light Anti Grav Battery, TI Arrow headers, Marchesini wheels, Maxton triple adjustable rear shock, GSXR front end (revalved) RSV4 fairing, custom tank, custom triple clamps, rear sets, sub-frame... Bike will also come with Pitbull rear stand, extra (low mileage) chain, sprockets, power commander, service manuals, oil filter, oil, and head/tail lights.

Bike is registered in CA through September, and is street legal-plated- insured. I changed oil religiously after each track day. Had a low side on the RH side some minor fairing damage that is painted over, scuff on the bar end, and scuff on the rear slider.

Please let me know if you have any questions. This is a truly unique bike that handles like a 250GP_ bike with the low end grunt of a V-Twin.
Weight is 297lbs and about 70HP.

That is soooooo COOL. AND it has a plate!

What is the service schedule like on these?

Whoa. That is effin' incredible. Good luck with the sale. Again, that is just brilliant.

Thanks! I sold all of the original parts when I did the conversion (bodywork, subframe, front end, wheels, etc) I do oil changes after every track day- but here is a link to the actual service manual:

might wanna try putting it up on supermotojunkie also. Thing is F'n sick!

There have been rumors of plates being revoked by CARB, but I have registered it 3X (once when i bought it and the subsequent 2 years) and have had no issues- Also I am on the Aprilia forum and there are numberous 07 bikes in CA that are legal and have not had any issues. The newest problem is that Dealerships who Derestricted the 08+ bikes at the time of purchase are getting a visit from CARB and they have to give lists of people who bought the 08+ bikes and had the service done prior to original customer delivery.. Again, I had no issues registering or insuring this bike.
I do believe that the best use of this bike is on the track as that is where it can truly be enjoyed. Hopefully someone who wants to race will buy it and use it to dominate whatever AFM classes it fits in!

i know where u live :|

:laughing

very trick bike btw. sorry you're selling it.

I'm pretty sure I bought a bunch of your stock bodywork awhile back.

Bump!

Six- feel free to come on by and take it for a spin...

Stan- yes you did, and I wanted to buy your immaculate DRZ until you changed your mind.. You were crazy to sell that thing!

But if you let someone take it for a few mile test ride, wouldn't that mean at least an oil change and valve adjustment?? JK :laughing

This bike is teh sex. Incredible machine.

I will probably be at the Thunderhill with PTT on the 28th of March (Monday after next) and can/will bring the bike if anyone wants to take a look or a few laps.
...and then I will give it another oil change to make sure she is all lubed up and happy..

Good thing for me and my unrestricted 08 that MotoMarin closed down. :twofinger

That thing might just be the ultimate track toy.
Wonderwhat classes you run...same as an SV I suppose?

Sure is.. I think Formula Twin might be the best bet- Suspension is probably too modified for Production class.. (since it is a totally different front end and a aftermarket rear shock.)

It is on Ebay- Reserve is at $7000 which is a STEAL!

I would rather sell it to BARFer...
