NoMotoGP: the 2014-15 off season thread

Great. I'm locking this past season's silly season thread.

Locking shit around is nothing. The real high is in suspending people for shits and giggles. :x

i wasnt expecting this team or rider to be on the grid next year. hopefully they get a pneumatic engine so they arent resigned to dead last every race and so that Ape can get some experience w/ the Open electronics before next year.

Mees and Baker. Nice.

Both Marquez Champs too.
Mees with the win.

I think we need the first post updated to all the links to all of the MotogGPs this year.
:teeth.

Just a thought.

Really. Why not??

Because the coverage on the website has been pretty lackluster, everything other than races are free already and because torrents when I wake up are better than staying up until 5am to watch the races live. I'm still undecided tho.

It took me quite some time to fork up for the video pass, having been mostly viewing through torrents. However, since I have, I've never looked back, and really only have the torrents for BSB coverage.

I get what you mean though about the torrent waiting for you when you wake up, rather than watching live at 5AM. But then again, MotoGP makes the races available after their live coverage, and you don't even have to wait for it to download. :thumbup

I'm debating the video pass as their video quality is often lacking for me. I find that if I want to make sure I can view the whole thing in HD I need to download the torrent anyways. Anyone else have issues with the streaming quality sometimes being lower than HD? I know it's not my internet connection.

ive subscribed to the website for the past 3 years, but i find myself downloading the BTsports feed regardless to rewatch the races just because i absolutely hate the commentary team and the lack of quality of the picture. i just dont think the value is justified with the quality and quantity of content they put out. the only thing that will probably get me to subscribe again is if they would give the loyal subscribers some kind of deal, if ben spies took gregory haines place and they got dylan gray a proper microphone or if i get hard up for some racing and i want access to the archives from old races.

I don't think they can handle the subscriber load. This last weekend I was watching at my friend's house and the HD stream was choppy. We did speed test and he had almost 70Mbps. I notice this at home frequently as well but less pronounced.
Overall tho I think it's worth it.
