If he had full gear on, he would not have sustained any of the damages that he got.

Yah it hardly hurts the first day compared to the next week. And as Joebar sez, when he is in the emergency room and they start berry picking.

Plus those wounds often end up infected and hurt even more.

This being why I NEVER ride without gear and armor, never in jeans, t shirt etc.
 
I agree, i did take a spill before and had similiar road rash, I was ok for the first hour, but after that -- I was in PAIN!!! but at no point would I have been in the mood to pose for pics.

Ditto. You can have an arm torn off from a crash and jump around like - almost - nothing happened. Won't last though.

The only time i ride without gear it too school, which is just down the street. ide wear a textile jacket but my helmet barley fits in my locker.

If that was to me, i wish i could wear at least a jacket but it doesnt fit in my locker and i dont really want to be a "show off and wear my jacket all day" lol

I also make very short trips with lil or no gear, and I understand the risk.

It was to those who think gear is a waste of money or "it wont happen to me" or "I've crashed before and was fine".

Fool, I ride like that all the time. See, this guy looked like he was going clubbin' (we be clubbin) and the Metrosexual shirt he was wearing was kickass.

I love crashing with no gear. Good opportunity to show off my chest tattoo and tongue pierce.

lol i have plenty of gear, im not going to wear a one piece to school tho, hehe
 
Haven't gone down yet but every piece of gear I have has paid for itself in advance regardless
 
Those were the funniest pics of a crash I've ever seen. Racercutie and I laughed our heads off. The guy seems really cool and a good sport. Glad he didn't just feel sorry for himself. Looks like he has some good friends.
