Reconfirm your MotoGP hotel reservations !!!

That's horrible. I just can't understand why hotels would allow this to happen. Money talks maybe? Sucks either way.

Who would the event rather lose?

A major sponsor (Red Bull) or some members of the public?

Business decision. Not a nice one, as no-one enjoys turning away customers, but a business decision none the less.

DONE (with fax confirmation, Expedia receipt, cc bill too)!

What is the point of confirming? I mean, you could confirm today, and they could bump you tomorrow, right?

Fookers.

its against the law?

I imagine there will be a few reporcussions from this.

At $500 a night....forget it.

I can sit behind the tube and just enjoy. I know it is the first year back, but common.....rediculous.

I just confirmed at the Monterey Plaza. They had me down for what I asked for. No worries here. :)

I got a room for $65 after tax... Not sure what hotels you were looking at :confused

be careful what hotel you get over there. We raced at LS a few years ago, and the hotel seemed to lose my reservation. (ya right) Anyways, after many phone calls, we ended up at this ran down, nasty hotel. We called it the curry in, because it reaked of curry powder. Anyways, it was so gross, we had to take the trash bag out of the garbage and stand on it to take a shower. :barf

We checked our reservations at the Hyatt, made in November, and they're still there. In fact, the person we spoke with claimed they still have rooms available, 831-372-1234. Amazing if true - last count projected was 160,000 people at the races, it's gonna be a zoo.

I just called myself up and confirmed I still have reservation in my bed at my house only 10 miles away from the track. =)

Hyatt was one of the hotels doing the bumping... Looks like they just realized how much money they could make if they just double the charges, and bump some early reservations.
