Since there was some positive interest in the TZ150R, I am offering to sell my RS150R which I no longer use. It is a 1996 RS125 chassis with a Thai-built Honda 150cc motor in it. It is a six-speed, water-cooled and has DOHCs. This was Aaron Hammel's first thumper project as far as I am aware.

Bike comes with assorted goodies.

Please call for more info. 562-884-0051.

Thanks.

Which 150 motor is it running? and what is the asking price?

-mike-

its the cbr150 motor (not the crf150r) , . DOHC watercooled, six speed. i believe they came with 14-15 hp, stock its under powered for an 80 class. With cams and exhaust, and a high compression piston they get around 18hp. He had this bike for sale awhile back and it looks clean from the pics.

I am pretty sure that is came with more than 14-15hp stock. I think that the Honda Thailand press packet said 19PS - which is around 18 hp. Honestly, I have no idea though. It was good enough to beat some 80cc two-strokes. I think it all comes down to the pilot.

I'd have to sort through my 80cc class trophies to give you a run down of how it did:). And, I don't have the figure to win a mini championship.

Anyway, it is a fun bike...

Price is negotiable. Everything is included: stands warmers, gearing...

Post up some pic's and will you ship?

And, I hate to actually say this, but re-reading (re-thinking) the post (from adamysr) it probably is "underpowered" for the 80cc class. Still not sure about what it gets hp-wise. I think it may be too powerful for the 65cc but not enough to run with the eighties. When I got it, there wasn't a CRF150R. I only got it because it was a four stroke and it was legal (at the time) in about six classes. I could bring one bike to the track, just fill it with gas, and have a great hassle-free time. I wasn't concerned with bettering my racing career.

I really hate to negotiate and I really hate to see the bike just sitting in the garage. I really don't anticpate riding it. I'm asking $3,800.

Willing to consider trades.

I really don't want to ship it, Pierce, but I am not oppossed to it. I can throw in a really nice motorcycle transport box. The cost of shipping would be yours...

t-money i think your right about the stock hp, now that i think about it. maybe i was thinking of the cbr125, not the 150..
It looks like a very clean bike thats for sure. The guy who biult it (aaron hammel) does great work. $3,800 is a very good deal for this bike. New motor will cost close 2k new ( tmoney correct me if im wrong) If i wasnt almost done with my rs80 project (which is way more then $3,800 to biult)i would be all over it !!

FYI, I will be heading down to Southern Oregon to pick up Tim's bike. I could carry a bike from Vancouver, WA to Medford, OR if needed.

Thanks for the offer sanfret.

FYI, the front motor mounts have been cut off and replaced. There is also a small notch in the frame to accomodate the engine.

Cheers...
