New Honda f4i frame sliders

ok so last night I drove all around the Bay getting parts and the bike. A friend is going to help me fix it ., but we dont know were to mount the frame sliders. bearing in mind that I'm a newbie to the list and a:boobies
could sombody point out were I mount the frame sliders ?I HOPE THIS IS NOT A STUPID ? as this is my first post

You're going to need to drill holes in your fairings, on both sides.

Someone (Keane) helped me when I was a newbie, so, I'd be willing to return the favor.

ok I relize I HAVE TO DRILL HOLES BUT ! where on the bike engine boss frame boss mount?

need for job:

silly putty or gum
2" hole cutter. I used a 2 3/8 cutter to put office furniture holes (where the computer wires go) in the cut hole (glued) for a clean, finished look
drill bits
torque wrench
masking tape

how to:
1. take your fairing off
2. unscrew engine bolt halfway
3. put putty/gum on bolt
4. place fairing back on
5. take fairing off. you should have putty/imprint where center of bolt is.
6. drill pilot hole in center point
7. place masking tape on shiny side of fairing (prevents chipping when cutting hole)
8. drill hole with hole cutter.
9. clean up foam thats everywhere and peel off tape.
10. install sliders with bolts provided and torque to about 33 lbs/foot i believe
11. (OPTIONAL) If you used 2 3/8 hole, use glue gun and pop office holes in fairing.
12. reinstall fairing

Should take you about an hour to do both sides if you go slow and are being careful. Good luck

BASTARD beat me too it and with pictures

At least she can see what we mean by the office holes..

AT Rotten:
Oh yeah shave the little grooves off the tube of the hole too with a flat screwdriver, it makes it much easier to get into the fairing cleanly
