Yep all after market stuff comes from Dan, he will be doing the forks, in a couple of weeks,It already has an Ohlins rear hopefully a custom map too, the Akrapovic/PC3 should bring it up to 150HP-

I was kind of depressed about 140HP, 81 ft-lbs of torque until I spoke to a guy that dynoed a 03 GSXR1000, 141HP, 75 ft-lbs of torque--so now I am happier:teeth

This Dyno Run, the bike had 600-800mi(I forget)-Now it ahs about 6K--the thing gets really hot on the dyno, so I have been waiting for Dan to get another fan:green for the custom map

a pipe and map well open it up for sure maybe you won't be too depressed. whats the top end on the xx? any idea of measured speed runs in any magazine tests? the 03 gix 1k, was that run on dan's dyno? when I had my bike mapped there he had two fans up front and he had to stop every once in awhile. burned up a full tank of gas also but it was worth it.

Top speed it a skinch under 180 mph

The pipe and a approximate map/PC3 are already on the bike. Dynojet doesnt have an 2002 XX Akrapovic map---just replacing the pipe saved over 30 lbs

The dyno run was done at Dans with two fans--as I wantedto get an accurate baseline for some folks over in the XX.org forum-he has some more fans on order---so the custom map should be worked out shortly

I've never looked to closely at the stock exhaust anchors?? I was recently lookin at a used xx in a showroom. low miles and all, really clean just didn't know it was already sold.

you should let duhamel run it in superbike ,it looks like it would do beter than those 2 cyl mini bikes they had in the race at sears
hehehe

another question for ya trackho was that 03gix1k run on dan's dyno?? when I was there he was taking about how his dyno can change +/- 2or3 hp just on ambient temp changes.

I can certainly understand your depression, Trackho, in owning a bike that only makes 140HP at the rear wheel.

I can't imagine even taking a bike out of the garage, to try to head on up the backside of Hwy 9, that doesn't have at least 150HP. I don't think a bike with any less power would even be able to make it up the steeper incline portions of Hwy 9.

Something like ........ oh, say ...... a Ninja 250 ......... would be nothing more than a barely moving roadblock, to such a powerful, performance bursting machine as the Honda XX. :teeth

I dont know where the guy got it dynoed---nice guy, he was riding the loop Sunday AM, you may know him. The bike wasnt broken in--but then again neither was mine--I was just kind of surprised, I was expecting about 155HP---but then again the GXSR1 is 100 lbs lighter than the XX supertanker.
