F4i Head light bulbs?

For a 2001 F4i---

Does anyone know if you have to replace with a Honda part or if it can be a more generic bulb. One shop suggests H-4 another says you have to replace with a Honda bulb because of differing number of prongs, etc.

any useful info much appreciated! :)
 
you should be able to use a generic one, as long as the wattage is close (55 watts I believe.) And they are H7.
