F4i hp! read this and stop the myth once and for all!!

I know... I know... another thread on a 600cc owner's obsession with his bike's hp!!

Cycle world had dynoed an 02 F4i at around 85hp, and that started a myth about 02 and 03 models being somehow different from 01 model which had dynoed at above 90 hp.

here is Cycle world's answer to its readers' mail, in which Cycle world says they must have had a bad test bike, and that others have dynoed at 92-93 rw hp consistently.


now if I hear this myth repeated by a BARFer on more time...

I can already see the smart ass replies to this post, to all of which I say:

The answer to the "How much HP does it have?" question is... "ENOUGH!".

I just found out today that I can actually get the front wheel light in fifth gear. Just don't ask me how.

How about missed shift, high revs, panic shift because a minivan was on my ass while merging into the carpool lane?

yeah, yeah. Even if it had 85, I probably am not even using all of that potential at the track. I don't see why people get so hung up on HP rather than just riding skills. A straight line is a straight line is a straight line. Do people think that they're using all that 85HP on a turn? On a regular basis? On the streets?

What he said!!!! (I STILL haven't figured out what 5th and 6th gears are for on the Gixxer, let alone wishing it had more hp......)
