IMPORTANT NOTICE EVERYONE!!!

I'm really sorry to have to report that as of this afternoon (Saturday, Jan 3rd), I just got a call from Tina, the Director of the "Ronald McDonald House" facility, with some very disappointing news!

She called at the eleventh hour (so-to-speak) to let me know that due to unforeseen delays in getting the families relocated and settled at their newly reopened facility, she is so apologetic, but they will *not* be able to host our "Ride-to-the-Kids" group ride/pizza party event at the previously scheduled Sunday, Jan 4th date (tomorrow)! She is now looking at a date that is a few weeks down the road (around the end of January), for penciling in as a follow-up rescheduled date.

I'm so sorry to have to give all of you good folks that have been so supporting of this BASHH event from the beginning, repeated reschedule notices like this ..... but unfortunately the circumstances are totally out of my control. I believe in sticking to commitments, and apologize greatly to everyone that may have been inconvenienced in any way by these unexpected forced reschedulings. we have not been able to make this ride event happen yet.

I'll get the word out as soon as I know for sure the date that the Ronald McDonald House folks are able to commit for this event.

Thanks for your understanding and patience.

I'm still sick but improving, hopefully the reschedule will work out better for all too. Imagine the kids going nuts looking forward to the bikes even more now :) Gary want me to bring the xr50? good/bad idea? I could remount the old throttle with the limiter on it. just an idea.

Thanks for the support on this, Max Smiley! There was a conflict in tomorrow's scheduled ride date, with the Cycle Gear sale/ride thing that Summitdog (the store manager in SJ) was putting on .... so maybe the reschedule will be for the best. :)

Regarding the XR50, thanks for the offer. However, I suspect that offering the kids a chance to actually ride on a small motorcycle, may not be possible. The first being the possible liabiilty that the management at the Ronald McDonald House facility would need to consider, and the second being that the kids that stay at this facility are under care for some fairly significant forms of medical treatment. Cool idea, but I'm afraid it would likely not be possible.

Looking forward to a solid reschedule date from them soon ........ so we can get out and "ride-to-the-kids"! :)

Ah postponed again. :(

Looking forward to the ride (whenever that happens...)

How about a ride anyway! :teeth
(then ride again when the date's determined).

oh well :(
I was really looking forward to this. guess we'll just hafta wait till it gets a new date.

Gary,

I am sorry that the ride will be cancelled tomorrow. The good news is that I will be able to attend the next scheduled ride. I finally got the RGV250 top-end rebuilt. Jetting is still a bit of an issue though.

So do you think that you will make it up to Redwood City in the a.m.?

Scotty

I guess that worked out well. I was running late anyway. I thought I was going to miss it. i look forward to the ride in a couple of weeks.
