Where are all the 04 R6's at?

Lately I've been tagging along w/ a friend of mine and it seems there's no 04 R6's to be found at any dealer here in the South Bay. East bay Motorsports just has 1 red one. He's looking for blue...any suggestions?
 
i have one

bought it over a month ago and i love it. It is in blue, and i bought it as san jose yamaha. good look and tell your buddy he is gonna love it!

San Jose Yamaha is the same as Grand Prix in Santa Clara correct? Last time I checked (which was 3 days ago) neither of them had any 04's. The wait time is 3 weeks.

what I meant was that a lot (most) dealers tell you a price for the bike and then RAPE you with setup, delivery blah blah blah.

Give an OTD price and there is no questions or miscommunications!
 
Bro, wasn't tryin' to be a dick. It just means absolutely nothing to most people to see a price for a bike before freight, setup, tax and license. We've all seen it when shopping for a bike. EVERY shop is different. I've seen a bike here in the bay area at a local dealer with a sale sticker on it. 03 gixxer 6 brand new, $6995 + fees. When I asked how much out the door, they said about $9k.
$2k for fees? Ouch! You think when you see the sale price tag that it sounds like a great deal.

That ain't no deal! And its misleading! Guess what, they still have those two 600's with the sale sticker on 'em still! And this was back in June 03 when I inquired about 'em.

Don't take it personally, I just think if you advertise an otd price, you're more likely to get serious buyers, because there are no suprises!

When buying from a local dealership, build up a relationship so you feel comfortable taking the bike back for service/warranty. If you are only looking for the cheapest price be prepare to drive a LONG distance to get it.

yeah tax alone on these babies is $600-$800 plus the registration is anotehr $150, freight $50 etc. Thats almost a grand right there :D
 
"Set up" fees is such bullshit. I think it was $700 for the last bike I bought. So...it takes $700 worth of labor to uncrate a bike, fill the battery up, leave my clutch interlock connector unplugged, and my axle nut loose? I wish I got paid that well.

Why don't they just call it fucking markup and stop insulting everyone with an IQ higher than their underwear size?
