Sliders should be the same size

Doo'd

The brand I have are Intuitive...

Sliders should be the same size.... the bolts , which are actually motor mount bolts are different sizes. Installing them is quite easy... If you need help let me know, I can come help you out . I know cutting the fairings can be intimidating but once you have done one... its all cake. Really no big deal

Hold the phone

I may be wrong... The stock motor mount bolts are different sizes. I have an extra set of sliders in my tool box. I will check the bolt sizes in the morning and PM you and let you know.

No no... The F4i sliders ARE supposed to be different sizes... I just can't remember which side is which... I would go out to a Starbucks meet and check out another F4i.... (There are always plenty of them) You should be able to tell which side goes to which

long bolt, short slider.

and yeah. come to a tuesday meet.

Liquid GSXR you da man

David ... Looks like you have the right sliders...
The intuitive site Liquid GSXR just posted has the correct information on it for Intuitive sliders... The sliders you have are almost identical.... Bolt sizes are correct too....
Pm me if you need any assitance in installing them. Also make sure you have a torque wrench to torque the bolts back to specs.

we're usually there past 10, in the summer past 11. how late is late? :teeth

damn, i didn't know that the fairings needed to be drilled in order to install sliders on the f4i, i thought it was only for the 600rr that the fairings needed drilling.

well this just sucks.

Yes, that tutorial is excellent. I followed it over the weekend and everything went smoothly.

Once you take the fairings off, it will be obvious which slider goes on which side. Trust me. Each slider will only fit on one side.

When I drilled the holes, I used packing tape to cover the fairing first. It worked very well.

Lastly, I went out to Kragen and dropped about 50 bucks on a torque wrench. I think it's worth the money so that you know you are tightening to the proper torque. 29 foot pounds is what the service manual says.

Good Luck!

It is not obvious to everyone. I saw a silver F4i parked at the Home Depot at the Great Mall with them on the wrong sides. One stuck out about 2" further from the fairing than the other. :laughing
