Agreed.

We know the story of how to cook a frog. You slowly raise the temperature so it doesn't jump out.

Soon, maybe a few months, maybe a couple years, maybe already for many people - they will wake up and realize they are actually living in hell.

The only way to stop it is for people to start listening to each other.

Stop shouting at each other. Stop hating on each other.

Bring basic human decency to all interactions with their fellow humans.

This applies to all sides. No side is innocent.

I think about this all the time because the work I do intersects with this. Then when I am not at work, the headlines all talk doom.
 
I think EVERYONE waving arms and shouting at each other needs to be responsible for a loved one's life and death caretaking because of disease.

Gives perspective and focus at the same time.
 
I think I am ready to go out and walk again. The laziness crept in with the fire and smoke.
 
I'm thinking this year is a disaster. starting with covid, being unemployed for 3 months, friends losing their homes to the fires, our country in disarray and a family member slowly dying of cancer. How much more can we all take before we crack. Thankful I can come here and escape from all of that bullshit for a while.

I always thought She was a very mean bitch!

rose is definitely the super sensitive one, would have thought that meant timid, but come to find out - she is the boss of the kids. go figure. she was named after the queen of the garden, and apparently took that title to heart. :laughing
 
I'm thinking teenagers can be entertaining at times...

my scouts were discussing first aid, and what the triage levels were named when assessing patients.

one scout replied "mild, medium and hot?"

the scout leader says flatly "no, that's spicyness levels"

I'm glad I was on mute because I started LMAO
